HKT48’s classic and popular songs
HKT48 is an AKB sister group based in Hakata, Fukuoka, which includes Rino Sashihara—who placed first in the AKB General Election for three consecutive years (as of 2017).
It is characterized by having many homegrown local members and by implementing a trainee (kenkyuusei) system.

This track is included on HKT48’s 5th single, Type-B, and it’s a bright, energetic song that’s very HKT48-like.
The lyrics were written with the premise that among a group of high school girls, there’s just one who’s over twenty.
Classic Akimoto world, right? It’s up-tempo and feels really good to listen to!
Go Bananas!HKT48 chīmu K fō

Starting with funky music, this song has a flavor HKT48 hasn’t had before.
The music video is cool too, and the way they rap and dance nimbly is genuinely impressive.

HKT48’s iconic and popular songs (31–40)
HKT Castle, now movesHKT48 purachina gāruzu

It’s a song by Platinum Girls included on “To You, One in 7.4 Billion.” It’s themed around building an HKT Castle at their base in Fukuoka and setting it in motion—using keywords that wouldn’t normally be sung about.
The music video also has many adventurous elements.

Despite its heartrending lyrics, this song is crafted with a gentle melody.
Included on HKT48’s 9th single, Type B, it tells a poignant story from a boy’s perspective about having his girlfriend stolen by his most important best friend.

A track included on HKT48’s 10th single “Kiss wa Matsu Shikanai no Deshou ka?” TYPE-A, this song kicks off with the chant and rhythm of “Da-da-da!” Its distinctive phrases stick in your head after just one listen.
It’s a bittersweet love song about feelings for a boy who might get swooped up by someone else if you don’t act fast.
Mean kissHKT48 Yabuki Nako

It’s a solo song by HKT48 member Nako Yabuki, included on “Shekarashika!”.
The music video is styled after old-school idol TV shows, and many fans were moved by how, despite her youth, she blended naturally into that retro setting, singing and dancing.

It’s a quintessential love song that expresses a girl’s feelings of being in love.
