HKT48’s famous and popular songs (1–10)
The moment the rain stopsNEW!HKT48

HKT48’s “The Moment the Rain Lifts” evokes the clear air after a rainfall.
It’s a coupling track included on the regular edition TYPE-A of their 19th single “Short-Sleeved Angel,” released in July 2025.
Sung by a six-member lineup including Ibuki Ishibashi and Aki Toyonaga, this refreshing youth pop song portrays the process of small anxieties and doubts in the heart gradually clearing away.
Unlike an intense dance track, its mid-tempo, gently emotive melody softly wraps around feelings of gloom.
Marking a new milestone for the group, this song is perfect for rainy days when you want to reflect on your feelings or times when you want to clear your mind.
It will surely give you the courage to start looking forward, little by little.
12 secondsHKT48

An aggressive track that rides on an uptempo guitar sound to sing about a love that’s just taken off.
By expressing a girl’s adorable feelings in an upbeat tempo, it captures the exhilarating rush of romance.
A song you’ll definitely want to listen to when you’re in love.
It’s okay to have bugs.HKT48

This is HKT48’s 9th single, which was also used as the opening theme for the TBS anime “Kamiwaza Wanda.” With its pop melody, the repeated chorus sticks in your head after just one listen.
The lyrics convey that things will work out even if you make mistakes, so it’s a good song to listen to when you’re feeling down!
Melon juiceHKT48

This is their second single, released in September 2013.
I was surprised by the rather puzzling title, “Melon Juice,” but it leaves a strong impression as a cute and fresh song.
The music video uses live performance footage, showing that it’s a lively track fans can really get into, so be sure to check out the MV as well!
First Love ButterflyHKT48

It’s HKT’s first original song, included on an AKB48 single.
The track likens a delicate first love to a butterfly.
In the music video, the members are shown from a butterfly’s point of view, resulting in a style of PV unlike anything seen before.
We ate cherry blossoms together.HKT48

This song deliberately sets lyrics that evoke the sad farewell of “graduation” to a bright, pop melody.
When it comes to HKT’s cherry blossom songs, this is the one.
The music video is packed with a fun atmosphere that hardly suggests parting at all.
Listen to this track and let it gobble up all your sadness.
Adult TrainHKT48

It’s a track included on AKB48’s single “Green Flash.” The music video is a bit different from past formats, alternating between footage of the members and the lyrics.
It’s a song that makes you reflect more deeply on the meaning of the lyrics.
