Teleporting Gum Magic

Prepare boxes of gum labeled mandarin, grape, and strawberry.
Shake them and let the audience hear the sound to confirm there’s something inside.
Then, by making a motion as if you’re moving the mandarin gum into the grape box with your finger from the outside, the mandarin box becomes empty and the mandarin gum appears to have moved into the grape box.
Some of you may have figured it out already, but the mandarin box was empty from the start.
You have a box with contents attached to the arm hidden by your sleeve, and when you “shake” the empty box, you’re actually letting them hear the sound from that hidden box.
It’s a seasonal trick, but it requires no practice and is easy to perform.
Cocoa Cigarette Appearance Magic

Let me introduce a magic trick that would make anyone happy if it were real: cocoa cigarettes appearing from an empty box! The setup is very simple—just place a piece of cut cardstock inside the box.
When you want to show that the box is empty, use the cardstock to hold the cocoa cigarettes in place so they don’t come out.
When you want the cocoa cigarettes to appear, simply release your hand from the cardstock.
If the cardstock is too small, it may come out together with the cocoa cigarettes or fail to hold them properly, so cut the cardstock to the largest size that will just barely fit inside the box when creating the gimmick.

Magic you can perform with three playing cards

Let me show you a playing card trick with a simple but charming method! All you need are two Jokers and one number card.
First, shuffle the three cards.
While shuffling, keep track of the number card and make sure it ends up in the middle.
After shuffling, lift the top two cards together and turn them over as one, making it look as if the number card is on top.
Turn the cards face down again, place the top Joker on the table, then show the remaining two cards to the audience and place them next to it.
However, if you show them normally, it will be obvious you’re still holding the number card, so use a technique called the Frustration Count to create the illusion that both cards are Jokers.
Finally, switch the positions of the laid-out cards and ask the audience where the number card is.
They’ll be amazed to find it in an unexpected place.
A magic trick where a necktie ties itself

It’s an idea where you tie a necktie just by giving it a shake in your hand.
There’s no gimmick in the tie, so you can even perform it with a tie borrowed on the spot! The method is: at the moment you shake the tie, pinch and hold the front tie to fix it, twist your wrist to form a loop, and catch the end of the opposite side of the tie.
Once you catch it, immediately pass it through the loop and release the part you were holding with your fingers.
Once you learn it, it’s an easy technique, so why not add it to your repertoire?
A magic trick where a pair of disposable chopsticks pierces through a handkerchief

It looks like the chopsticks wrapped in the handkerchief are piercing through it, but in reality, while pretending to straighten the handkerchief, you slide the chopsticks outside.
You then layer the exposed chopsticks behind the handkerchief and move them upward, which makes it appear as if they’re passing through, without actually making a hole in the fabric.
The key point is to move the chopsticks in that brief moment when you pinch the center of the handkerchief.
This trick is easily exposed from the side, so be careful about the angle from which you present it.
A magic trick that guesses the card in your mind

First, ask the spectator to secretly choose one number from 1 to 20.
Then turn over the 20 cards in order and have them remember the card at their chosen number.
From here, you’ll appear to shuffle the cards and then identify the card they remembered—but you’re not actually finding the card.
In fact, although it looks like you’re shuffling, the cards aren’t being mixed, and the positions of the first 20 cards remain unchanged.
In that state, you ask, “Which position did you remember?” and make it look as though you’ve located the chosen card.
You might pretend to swap the first card, or make it seem like you’re shuffling when you’re not.
Learn the key steps thoroughly and perform them confidently.
The Handkerchief That Can’t Be Tied

Let me introduce a simple magic trick you can perform with just one handkerchief.
The idea is that you try to tie a knot in a long, thin handkerchief, but no matter how many times you try, it never ties.
Normally, when tying a handkerchief, you make a loop, pass one end through it, and pull both ends outward.
In this trick, however, although it looks like you’re tying it, you secretly let go of one end partway through, so it slips out of the loop and won’t tie.
It’s an easy trick anyone can do, so I encourage you to learn it and show it off at your next party.
