Ah, the days of youthyuzu

Included on the 2000 album “Tobira.” A folk duo from Yokohama formed in ’96.
The mid-tempo rhythm and rock-leaning sound are uncharacteristic for Yuzu, and the highly impactful melody is very striking—I think songs like this have a really nice flavor too.
PIECES OF A DREAMCHEMISTRY

Included on the 2001 album “The Way We Are.” A vocal duo formed in 2001.
This was their debut single, their biggest hit, and the only single to sell over a million copies.
The song has a mid-tempo structure that’s slightly mellow while still retaining a pop sensibility.

UFOPink Lady

A single released in 1977.
An idol duo that debuted in 1976.
I think it’s fair to say they’re one of the most iconic idol duos in Japanese music history.
This song became the biggest hit among the singles they released.
Their popularity back then was truly phenomenal.
anticlockwiseAfter the Rain

After the Rain is a music duo formed by Soraru and Mafumafu, both of whom are popular vocalists.
Their song Anti-Clockwise, included on their second album Izanaware Traveler, features an impressive, fast-paced ensemble driven by piano and strings.
Mafumafu’s piercing high tones and Soraru’s cool mid-to-low register harmonize in a way that draws listeners into the song’s world.
With its driving rock sound and thrilling melody, it’s a cool track that’s sure to raise your spirits.
WORLDFREEASY BEATS

Included on the 2007 album “FUNKY BROS.” Ending theme for TV Tokyo’s “Yarisugi Koji.” A brother duo from Saitama Prefecture formed in 2005.
It’s a track where the overlapping vocals of the two singers blend nicely over a mid-tempo funky rhythm and a melancholic, resonant melody line.
Robo KissW

Included on the 2005 album “2nd W.” An idol duo formed in 2004.
This track features an upbeat, brisk rhythm and a positive, casual digital sound, with the duo’s vocals adorably leaping to the ear.
