RoarKAT-TUN

This is KAT-TUN’s 28th single, released in March 2021 to mark the major milestone of their 15th anniversary.
It also drew attention for being chosen as the theme song for the NTV Saturday drama “Red Eyes: Kanshi Sosahan,” starring Kazuya Kamenashi.
The lyrics express the resolve to start walking toward the future while grappling with a present that has no clear answers, and the sound—combining fragility and strength—strikes a chord.
The arrangement, in which the three members’ vocals layer over the cool tones of piano and strings, is breathtaking.
It’s a track you’ll want to sink into when you need courage to move forward or on a quiet night when you want to face yourself.
We Just Go Hard feat. AK-69KAT-TUN

This work features AK-69, a leading figure in Japan’s hip-hop scene.
The lyrics, which portray an athlete-like fighting spirit and the strength to push forward with self-belief, perfectly match KAT-TUN’s cool and gritty vibe.
Included on the single “We Just Go Hard feat.
AK-69 / EUPHORIA,” released in September 2021, it was used as the image song for Nippon TV’s professional baseball broadcasts “DRAMATIC BASEBALL 2021” and as the theme song for “Going! Sports & News.” It’s a fiery track that fills you with power when you need to fire yourself up in clutch moments or boost your motivation.

DangerholicSnow Man

Released in September 2023, this is the group’s ninth single, chosen as the theme song for the TBS drama “Trillion Game,” starring group member Ren Meguro.
Its positive message—pushing forward while even enjoying adversity—and a driving, rock ’n’ roll–infused ensemble give listeners a powerful boost.
Achieving a record-breaking first-week sales figure of approximately 869,000 copies, the track stands out with a cool, addictive melody line that draws you deeper into its world the more you listen.
It’s a perfect pick for decisive moments or when you want to lift your spirits and refresh—an energizing number that showcases Snow Man’s intensity.
GrandeurSnow Man

Snow Man is an idol group that captivates with their exceptional athleticism and nine uniquely talented members.
Released in January 2021 as their third single, this track was chosen as the opening theme for the TV anime Black Clover.
Bearing a French title that signifies “grandeur” and “nobility,” it’s a powerful number that fuses a driving, exhilarating beat with aggressive choreography.
With a proven track record—including winning Single of the Year at the 36th Japan Gold Disc Awards—it stands out as a shining achievement.
The lyrics, which express the strength to face adversity, and the impeccably synchronized performance leave viewers in awe.
It’s an energetic masterpiece, perfect for lifting your spirits or immersing yourself in the group’s hallmark dance performance.
Asymmetrynaniwa danshi

While Naniwa Danshi often gives off a pop vibe, some of their songs are quite stylish.
Among them, the one I particularly recommend is Asymmetry.
The A-melody has a sleek, stylish feel; the B-melody is orthodox J-pop; but right before the chorus, the atmosphere shifts to something gothic.
Surprisingly, the chorus that follows is rather straightforward and light.
There’s falsetto in the song, but the range is well within what you can handle with mixed voice, so that shouldn’t be an issue.
The vocal line itself isn’t difficult; however, since the song’s character changes multiple times within a single track, make sure to highlight the distinct vibe of each section as you sing.
Imitation RainSixTONES

SixTONES’ debut work, produced by YOSHIKI of X JAPAN, unfolds a grand musical world.
Amid the interplay of beautiful melodies and an energetic rock sound, profound themes such as hope and reality, falsehood and truth, and life and death are portrayed.
Released in January 2020 as a double A-side single with Snow Man, it marked the first-ever simultaneous debut of two groups in Johnny’s history.
The song was also featured in commercials for NTT Docomo’s live music streaming service, 7-Eleven, and WEGO, winning over a wide audience.
From their debut onward, the evolving vocals of the six members have resonated deeply with many listeners, offering companionship at life’s crossroads and in moments of emotional turmoil.
uraomote (meaning ‘two-faced’ or ‘having a public and a private side’)Hey! Say! JUMP

Hey! Say! JUMP is a boys’ idol group that debuted in 2007 with “Ultra Music Power.” Their song “Uraomote” is a dance-pop track that served as the theme song for the Fuji TV serial drama “My Dearest Self with Malice Aforethought,” which began airing in 2022 and stars Ryosuke Yamada.
Just before the chorus, there’s a moment where the entire track goes quiet and the sound of a ticking second hand rings out, then it plunges straight into an irresistibly catchy hook.
In the chorus, the melody features distinctive chromatic lines that become increasingly addictive as you listen!
