Barefoot Futurearashi

Released as a single in September 2003, it became widely beloved as a campaign song for Coca-Cola Japan.
Many of you might remember the commercial showing the members having a great time.
The lyrics carry a positive message about casting aside hesitation and sprinting toward the future with passion—just listening to it lifts your spirits.
Its bright, catchy melody is easy to remember, and with few drastic pitch changes, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a karaoke-friendly song.
Pick it when you want to get the crowd going with your friends!
Everybody GoKis-my-ft2

Kis-My-Ft2 is a seven-member idol group that achieved the remarkable feat of surpassing two million concert attendees within five years of their debut—the fastest pace ever for a Johnny’s group.
Their debut single, “Everybody Go,” which was used as the theme song for the TV drama “You’re Beautiful” starring the members, was released outside Japan as well.
With a relatively flat melody and a modest vocal range, it’s easy to sing at karaoke.
The song’s driving ensemble feel also makes it a breezy pop tune that’s easy to fire up the crowd with sheer momentum.
Paradise GalaxyHikaru GENJI

Hikaru Genji was a legendary idol group that enjoyed explosive popularity, to the point of becoming a social phenomenon, until their disbandment in 1995.
Their third single, Paradise Ginga, written by Ryo Asuka (formerly of CHAGE and ASKA), was used as an insert song in the film A Mysterious Baby and became Hikaru Genji’s biggest hit.
Despite the song’s driving momentum, the melody is laid-back, and it isn’t particularly demanding in terms of key or vocal range, making it approachable even for those who aren’t confident singers.
It’s a classic from years past that we especially hope those of that generation will sing with an awareness of its sparkling atmosphere.
I wish you lots of happinessnaniwa danshi

Naniwa Danshi’s classic “Sachiare” is memorable for its poppy melody.
Although the range is on the higher side at mid1D to hiD, it’s not particularly difficult for female singers.
For male singers, the B-melody before the final chorus may feel high, so it’s a good idea to lower the key with that section as the reference point.
The vocal line itself is straightforward without quirks, so as long as you can handle the range, it shouldn’t feel difficult to sing.
Doki itnaniwa danshi

This is a powerful rock tune by Naniwa Danshi that brightly cheers on young people starting a new chapter in life.
Released in February 2025 as the CM song for AOKI’s “Freshers Fair,” it carries a warm message that “being yourself is what’s truly wonderful,” with forward-looking lyrics full of a spirit of challenge that resonate deeply.
This track fully showcases the vocal and performance strengths of the group’s seven uniquely talented members.
The dance scenes, featuring refreshingly simple outfits of white shirts and denim, are also striking.
It’s a song that will gently nudge anyone taking their first step into something new.

Eat some sushi!Shibugakitai

A unique song with a sushi theme that’s sure to get the crowd going at karaoke! Released in February 1986, this track emerged as a fresh challenge at a time when rap was just beginning to gain recognition in Japan.
It drew major media attention, including broadcasts on NHK’s “Minna no Uta” and a performance at the 36th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen.
The lyrics feature a variety of sushi toppings and depict the fun atmosphere of dining at a sushi restaurant.
With its upbeat tempo and rhythmic, easy-to-remember lyrics, even karaoke beginners can enjoy it without worry.
It’s the perfect song for hyping up a group or playfully expressing Japan’s food culture.
Sexy ZoneSexy Zone

Sexy Zone is a four-member idol group whose name was inspired by the idea of having a “Michael Jackson-like sexiness.” Their debut single, “Sexy Zone,” was selected as the image song for Fuji TV’s World Cup Volleyball 2011.
Since all the members were still teenagers at the time, the song was produced as an energetic cheer anthem.
While the melody features many leaps, the overall vocal range isn’t very wide, making it a good choice even for those who aren’t confident singers.
However, the key is somewhat high, so it may be easier for women to sing and a bit challenging for men.
When singing it at karaoke, be sure to adjust the settings to suit your voice.
