When you’re walking around town, do you ever notice how people carry their umbrellas? The rainy-season song “The Umbrella-Holding Style I Can’t Stand,” produced by Vocaloid creator Adeliae, was released in June 2024.
It turns the gloom of the rainy season into sound and warns—through its lyrics—about people who grab their umbrella around the lower part of the handle and swing it like a pendulum as they walk.
In reality, if someone in front of you on the stairs is holding it like that, you can’t help thinking, “That looks dangerous—it might poke someone!” It’s a catchy number laced with humor and irony.
Rainy Stepiruka aisu
This cute song will put you in the mood to fully enjoy a rainy day.
It’s a track by the popular Vocaloid producer Iruka Ice, also known for “Brand New Day” and “Orca,” released in 2022.
It was written for Mameko, who works as a singer and voice actor.
A pop song with a boldly ringing piano tone, it features Miku’s lively vocals that are absolutely wonderful.
The music captures that feeling after the rain, when the sun breaks through and puddles and wet flowers and grass sparkle.

This is a song by Takiaki Wada, a Vocaloid producer also known as Kurage-P.
Released in 2012, it drew attention for its highly addictive band-style arrangement.
The heavy, punchy bass sounds really cool.
Each word is delivered with high energy, so listening to it really lifts your spirits.
In rainy June, there are times when you end up lazing around for no particular reason, right? Give this a listen at those times to refresh your mood! It’s included on releases such as the compilation album “Tsuki no Hibiki,” so check it out if you’re interested.
Fafrotskiesameotoko
This is a work themed on “Fafrotskies,” the phenomenon where impossible things like fish fall from the sky.
