Well, I mean, it’s not like… I mean…NGT48

NGT48, the idol group currently in the spotlight.
They’re the fifth group to come out of the AKB48 family, and they’re experiencing a resurgence in popularity, especially among teens and people in their twenties.
Among NGT48’s songs, the one I especially want to recommend is “Well, I mean, not really…” It has that early-2010s idol-song vibe, characterized by a catchy vocal line.
With many easy-to-sing phrases and a narrow vocal range, it’s approachable even for those who aren’t confident in their singing.
Hymn to YouthSano ibuki

Singer-songwriter Sano ibuki, who has been steadily gaining popularity since the late 2010s, openly cites Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson as influences.
While he’s said that, many of his songs are catchy, very singable J-pop numbers, so even people who aren’t confident singers will find several tracks easy to sing.
Among them, the one I especially recommend is Shonen Sanka (Hymn to Boyhood).
Although the song is on the slightly higher side, its rhythm is very easy to follow, and it’s a piece where even a light voice can deliver plenty of impact, making it approachable for those who aren’t strong singers.
swallowYOASOBI

A grand story told from the perspective of a swallow.
YOASOBI’s song gently gives voice to the big dreams of small creatures.
Released in November 2022, this work is YOASOBI’s fifth song in English.
It was also broadcast in December as the monthly song on NHK Educational TV’s children’s SDGs program “Hirogare! Irotoridori.” It’s a perfect choice for middle schoolers who want to sing it at karaoke.
The melody is easy to remember, and the lyrics carry a deeply moving message.
Why not sing it with friends and enjoy a fun time together?
Spring Dayaimyon

A touching song by Aimyon filled with family love.
As the theme song for a Crayon Shin-chan film, it portrays the beginning of the Nohara family.
It gently sings about the instability and hope of lovers—likened to winter trees and cats—as well as vows for the future.
Released in September 2020, the song is written from the perspective of Shinnosuke’s parents and mentions specific places like Kita-Senju Station and Kasukabe Station.
With its friendly melody and easy-to-sing vocal range, it’s perfect for enjoying at karaoke with family and friends.
The tempo is moderate, making it a great choice even for first-time mic holders.
Why not enjoy a fun karaoke time while feeling the bonds of family and the happiness of everyday life?
Blooming the Tank-topYabai T-shatsu Yasan

Yabai T-Shirts Yasan is a band with striking contrasts: sharp rock sound, comedic lyrics, and an adorably cute vocal.
Their style, which feels like a mix of J-pop and heavy metal, really sticks in your head.
Among their songs, the one I especially recommend is Blooming the Tank-top.
Despite its strong impact, the vocal range itself isn’t particularly wide, so it’s pretty easy to sing.
For the death-voice parts, rather than trying to sing them well, if you lean into a playful vibe with the people around you, you can both cover up any rough edges and get the crowd going.
