Happiness PlayJunretsu

A hidden masterpiece bequeathed by maestro Hiroyuki Nakagawa, a giant of the Japanese kayōkyoku scene, to Junretsu—the group poised to lead the next generation.
Said to have been written expressly for them, this song weaves in all the charms of kayōkyoku, resulting in a mellow yet subtly nostalgic number.
It’s also a work to watch for the passionate performance of Lady Alice, the cat credited with sparking the “ugly-cute” cat boom, who appears in the music video.

It gently conveys the importance of everyday little joys and connections between people.
With lyrics by Kazuyoshi Sakai and music by Joji Hara, the piece was released in February 2024.
Junretsu’s warm vocals deliver the message of the lyrics even more deeply.
Since their first appearance on the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen in 2018, Junretsu has steadily gained fans.
Strongly supported by homemakers and older listeners, the song is loved across generations.
It’s recommended for those who tend to forget to feel grateful in daily life or who want to cherish their connections with others.
Tears on the Ginza LineJunretsu
Formed with the goal of appearing on the Kōhaku music show and making their parents proud, Junretsu released this memorable debut single after about three years of vocal training.

The song “Namida no Ginza-sen” is finished with a mature, sultry allure.
proposal (marriage proposal)Junretsu

Junretsu, a male mood kayō group formed by former tokusatsu hero actors, made their major debut in 2010.
Tall and handsome, they steadily built a following as the “public-bath idols,” then hit it big in 2018 with “Proposal.” That same year, they made their first appearance on the Kōhaku Uta Gassen, achieving the goal they had held since their formation.
They have also won multiple Japan Record Awards and are drawing attention as a force bringing fresh air to the enka world.
Despite lineup changes, they continue to captivate audiences with dazzling performances that leverage their experience as tokusatsu actors.
If you find yourself drawn to Junretsu’s charming vocals and looks, you might just fall head over heels into the world of enka.
