Psy, the rapper who became world-famous for “Gangnam Style,” is from Gangnam District in Seoul, South Korea.

The son of a major corporate family, he enrolled at Boston University but developed an interest in music, transferred to Berklee College of Music in Boston, and studied music.

This is his collaboration with Suga, BTS’s rap member.

The story features Psy in the first half singing about how “Gangnam Style” was a hit 10 years ago, and in the second half Suga storms in.

Their sharp dance and rap are really cool, aren’t they?

MariaHwasa

A medium-tempo R&B number brimming with the sultry allure that’s so quintessentially Hwasa, the youngest member of MAMAMOO, whose “HIP” remains a long-running hit.

She co-worked with MAMAMOO’s producer Park Woo Sang, taking part in the overall structure, songwriting, and styling—showcasing herself as a creator as well.

The song carries a resolve to live strongly while facing a world that spits out negative emotions and the wounds that are born from it.

In some ways, it may overlap with Hwasa’s own way of life: rather than hate, move forward.

A powerful track that resonates from deep within.

Ring DingDongSHINee

Ring DingDongSHINee

A boy group that debuted under SM Entertainment in 2008.

While they have many innocent, pure-sounding songs, this track gives a sense that they’ve grown up.

The main vocalist, Jonghyun, sadly passed away at a young age in 2017.

The grief was immense for both the members and the fans.

His singing and expressiveness were exceptional, and his vocal range is said to have spanned four octaves.

AnswerATEEZ

ATEEZ(에이티즈) – ‘Answer’ Official MV
AnswerATEEZ

It’s a track whose uniquely ’80s melodious yet weighty sound stirs a powerful heat from within.

The lyrics, hoisting up a fiery spirit to accomplish something, make you want to raise a glass and toast together.

Above all, the quality is outstanding.

It’s included on the concluding installment of the Treasure series, the album “TREASURE EPILOGUE: Action To Answer.”

EYES,NOSE,LIPSSOL

TAEYANG – 눈,코,입 (EYES, NOSE, LIPS) M/V
EYES,NOSE,LIPSSOL

This is a solo song by BIGBANG’s SOL, and he himself took part in the songwriting.

SOL is his stage name in Japan, and there’s also a Japanese version of this track.

It’s a quiet yet passionate ballad about the pain of a broken heart.

SOL’s performance in the Japanese lyrics is remarkably expressive.

The sorrowful phrase that’s repeated many times is striking and captivating.

BBIBBIIU

BBIBBIIU

An alternative R&B track released in 2018.

It was produced to commemorate IU’s 10th debut anniversary.

It topped every major music chart in South Korea.

As another new record, over 1.4 million people listened to it within 24 hours of its release! The song conveys a message about the various images surrounding IU, and its title is the Korean name of Pippi from Swedish literature.

Savageaespa

Savageaespa

aespa, who garnered worldwide attention with the long-running hit “Next Level,” made an even stronger impression with the title track “Savage” from their 2021 mini album—an original song that cements their powerful impact.

Their one-of-a-kind worldbuilding, including artist photos and other visuals, resonates through the body with a force that feels like it dominates the space.

The addictive hook is very much intact as well.

As an idol group, aespa is showcasing an unprecedented strength, and their remarkable surge forward looks set to expand even further!
