SakurazakaFukuyama Masaharu

Here’s a song released by Masaharu Fukuyama in 2000, expressing his feelings for a former lover.
It’s a beautiful, gentle piece that paints vivid scenes and really touches the heart.
Besides being a well-known classic, it doesn’t have an especially wide vocal range, so it’s relatively easy to sing for karaoke.
The fact that it’s been loved and covered by many artists also shows how popular it is.
It’s definitely a song I’d love to hear men sing.
DiarySEKAI NO OWARI

This is a song by SEKAI NO OWARI that was chosen as the theme for Netflix’s “The Future Diary.” In this track, member Saori handled both the lyrics and composition, and its warm sound, highlighted by the piano tones, is especially striking.
The lyrics—depicting the emotions that arise as the story unfolds and the ending that lies beyond, echoing the show’s concept—convey both poignancy and deep affection.
With its relaxed tempo and uncluttered wording, it’s a song meant to be sung slowly, letting the emotions come through.
NOISEWurtS

Known for single-handedly handling everything from songwriting and composing to arranging and artwork, the artist Wurts has earned a reputation for excellence.
Centered around alternative and rock, their catchy musical style is highly regarded by listeners in their teens and twenties.
Among Wurts’s tracks, I especially recommend NOISE.
It features a structure reminiscent of 2000s rock numbers, and while it carries a loud, energetic vibe, the vocal lines are kept simple in the mid-to-low range.
It’s easy to sing even if you can’t hit high notes, so be sure to check it out.
Dried flowersYuuri

This is the second major single by Yuuri, who has been active as a singer-songwriter since 2019.
The song portrays the story of his indie-era digital-only single “Kakurenbo” from a female perspective, and its heartrending lyrics and melody make your chest ache.
As the song moves from the A verse to the B verse and then the chorus, the vocal range gradually rises, and falsetto appears at key moments, so it’s best to adjust the key to suit your voice when practicing.
The tempo is slow, making the lyrics easy to follow in karaoke, and the melody is catchy and easy to remember, so it’s an ideal song to practice.
A Little SongJUJU

JUJU’s “Chiisana Uta” isn’t the kind of song where you belt; it’s a gentle, soothing piece that’s easy on the throat, so I highly recommend it.
The A and B sections are sung in a relatively low range, almost like speaking.
The chorus goes a bit higher, but it’s basically sung in falsetto.
Since JUJU isn’t the type to belt in the first place, I think many of her songs are comfortable to sing without strain.
Try singing it with that JUJU-like airy feel, using plenty of breath and aiming for a light, effortless delivery.
BouquetMOMO SANA MINA from TWICE

TWICE, the K-POP idols who are hugely popular in Japan as well.
They’re a multinational group, and there are Japanese members like MOMO, SANA, and MINA.
“Bouquet” is a song performed by these Japanese members.
Since they’re K-POP idols, the overall level is higher compared to typical Japanese idol songs, but among their works, this one is particularly easy to sing.
There are a few falsetto parts, but if you absolutely can’t hit them, go for it and try belting them in chest voice instead.

trespassingzutto mayonaka de ii no ni.

A band formed around ACA-ne, Zutto Mayonaka de Iinoni.
Like Ado, they conceal their identities and have gained immense support, especially among young people.
Among their songs, the one I particularly recommend is Fuhou Shinnyuu (Trespassing).
The chorus features falsetto, but it’s the kind that appears only for a moment, so it should be relatively easy to sing even for those who can’t produce a clean head voice.
If you like tracks that are stylish yet high in voltage, be sure to check it out.
