Double the thrills and excitement! Borrowed-Item Race prompts

The classic event at sports festivals is the borrowing race, where you quickly find the specified item and head for the goal.

A variation called the “Borrow-a-Person Race,” which changes what you borrow from “things” to “people,” has been gaining popularity at sports festivals.

In this article, we’ll introduce recommended prompts for the Borrow-a-Person Race!

If you’re thinking, “I want to try it, but I don’t know what prompts to use,” or “I want funny ideas,” please use the prompts we introduce here as a reference.

The Borrow-a-Person Race involves even more interaction with others than the traditional borrowing race, making it perfect for deepening bonds with teammates and engaging with members of the community!

Appearance/Physique (1–10)

a very muscular person

a very muscular person

Here’s an idea for finding muscular people who are doing strength training.

Look for muscular individuals from every angle—body size, shoulder width, chest and back muscles, and more.

When a player guides the selected person to the goal, it turns into a fun event where muscular people gather.

Consider including this as one of the themes suitable for a sports festival.

person with a ponytail

person with a ponytail

The task is to find someone with a ponytail.

It’s a hairstyle often used to tie up long hair or to make it easier to exercise.

Not only can you look for women with ponytails in the venue, but it’s also a good idea to prepare wigs in advance and have men wear them, too.

President

They might be in the cheering section! Here’s the president’s idea.

How about adding “President/CEO” as one of the prompts? There may be parents or community members in the stands who fit that role.

It could be a theme that excites both kids and adults.

Many children are surely interested in adult professions! Through the sports day, it could become an opportunity to spark interest in the position of a company president.

It’s also a topic that could keep people talking even after the event ends.

Please consider incorporating it!

A person whose height is ◯ cm

A person whose height is ◯ cm

A challenge to find someone in the venue who is ◯ cm tall.

You can specify a range like “someone between 155 cm and 160 cm,” or narrow it down to “someone who is 157 cm.” Instead of relying only on self-reported height, setting up a height-measuring device will make the thrill and excitement even more enjoyable.

person in the XX department

person in the XX department

It’s a challenge where you find people from a specific school club to reach the goal.

Since the bonds with classmates and club members are the key to victory, it really energizes the whole school event.

Also, if you’re doing it as a company event, we recommend trying conditions like “Anyone who was in the ___ club during their school days!”

handsome male teachers and beautiful female teachers

handsome male teachers and beautiful female teachers

A challenge where participants search the venue for the most handsome or beautiful teacher.

It’s an activity that both the players looking for attractive people and those who get chosen can enjoy.

A key point is that the audience watching can get excited together as well.

It’s also recommended to add conditions—such as having men look for women and women look for men.

People who are 〇〇 committee members

People who are 〇〇 committee members

An easy theme to find! Let me share some ideas from students on the XX committee.

Many schools require students to join a committee starting in the upper grades of elementary school.

How about using themes that focus on specific committees? Each grade, or even each class, will have students who belong, making it easy to find participants.

It’s also wonderful to put the spotlight on students who are working in their committee roles during the sports festival.

Be sure to incorporate this into your races!
