A character appears at the entrance ceremony.

How about inviting children’s favorite characters as guests to the entrance ceremony? If Anpanman came, their anxieties would vanish and the kids would be thrilled! If the character appears toward the end of the ceremony, it would reduce confusion and help the children remember the entrance ceremony as a “happy memory.” Even if it’s not the real Anpanman, creating an original costume to cheer the kids on would be wonderful.
magic trick

At entrance ceremonies, there are always children who cry out in anxiety.
Some keep whining in their seats, anxiously looking around for their mothers.
In moments like that, how about using a magic trick to distract them? A cloth turns into a wand, or into a flower… When something impossible happens right before their eyes, they might stop crying in an instant! It’s a surprise that both adults and children can enjoy.
Introducing the teachers in time with the music

After all, you want them to remember the name of the teacher they spend so much time with, right? In that case, how about teaching it by singing the teacher’s name to music? In each class, have them sing and dance in their own unique way, make cute costumes, and help everyone remember the teacher’s name!

large-format picture book
Big-format picture books that shine at large events are also recommended for entrance ceremonies.
“Nezumimi-kun’s Vest” is a well-known, easy-to-see book for many children.
If you start with a fingerplay activity before the big book, it may help boost the children’s focus.
Reading a large picture book with two teachers makes the flow smoother.
Decide together who will turn the pages, who will read, and who will support the book.
Read slowly and clearly, keeping a good rhythm as you turn the pages.
It’s also important to keep checking that the children in the back can see as you go!
Paper Plate Theater

It’s like a handmade animation where the picture changes as you move the paper plate.
First, you show a silhouette illustration and have people guess what it is.
Then you gradually transform it until the true image is revealed.
The paper plate has slits cut into it, and you make the illustration appear by sliding it through those gaps.
By revealing the answer bit by bit and prompting them to respond as soon as they figure it out, you can encourage them to keep thinking carefully about what the illustration might be without giving up.
Congratulations on Entering/Advancing Theater: Enrollment Edition

I’m sure children who have just started attending kindergarten feel quite anxious.
That’s exactly why it might be a great idea to put on a “Congratulations on Enrollment and Advancement” theater show to let them know this is a fun and safe place! Entertain them by singing and dancing like a play, and help them have a great time!
Teachers’ dance “Goroppu Jaga Jaga”

Teachers and the principal are all gathered! Here are the teachers’ performances at the entrance ceremony.
The principal’s big jump even drew impressed “Ooh!”s from the children.
Thanks to the rhythm-filled, funky song, it looks like the welcome party was a great success!
