Collection of Love Songs on the Theme of Homosexuality and LGBTQ+ (41–50)
Ain’t Nobody KnowHoshino Gen

This song is packed with Gen Hoshino’s latest musical experiments.
Included on the digital-only EP “Same Thing,” released in October 2019, it drew attention as a collaboration with the young U.K.
artist Tom Misch.
Against a steady beat and flowing melody, Hoshino’s voice stands out in its beauty.
The lyrics emphasize a free and passionate expression of love, portraying a relationship that draws two people deeply together without worrying about society’s gaze.
The lyric video features actor Yutaka Matsushige, while the music video stars Nana Komatsu, both enriching the song’s world.
It’s a perfect track for spending precious time with someone you love.
The music video also includes a same-sex couple, highlighting the diversity of love.
At all times.Makihara Noriyuki

The lyrics are striking in how they seem to tell us that being true to ourselves is something admirable.
Even when I feel down after being rejected or criticized, remembering this song quickly lifts my spirits.
Noriyuki Makihara’s gentle high-tone voice is also soothing.
I want to keep valuing my true self as I go through life.
LinkRYUCHELL

Maybe it’s people who are sensible, earnest, and able to go with the flow who end up succeeding—but when I listen to this ‘link,’ I find myself wondering if that’s really true.
Ryucheru’s breakthrough, getting together with Peco, and the creation of this song—aren’t these things beyond what we’d call common sense by now? When I feel lonely and listen to this track, it lifts me up.
It’s a highly recommended song.
NeverlandHOLLAND

“Neverland” is the debut song of Korean idol HOLLAND, who bravely came out as gay in January 2018.
The announcement drew worldwide attention and gave courage and strength to people who share the same kind of love.
“Neverland” refers to a utopian ideal—an imagined world where, free from conventional social norms, people can be honest with their hearts and love each other freely.
Highly recommended.
Feels Right ‘Pride Remix’Carly Rae Jepsen

Pride Toronto is a fair that supports the LGBT community, held every June in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
It’s a festival that celebrates the diversity of the LGBT community, where many dancers, artists, live performers, and DJs energize the event.
Carly Rae Jepsen also performed “Feels Right” live there, and the specially arranged version she performed is this track, “Feels Right ‘Pride Remix.’” The rainbow colors used throughout are said to symbolize diversity, and the song itself is an upbeat number.
I’m Coming Out (Original CHIC Mix)Diana Ross

Since the 1960s, Diana Ross has been at the forefront of Black music.
It’s astonishing to realize that a song like this, with lyrics like these, existed back then.
She came out and revealed the painful reality of being discriminated against because of skin color.
The term “coming out,” which we use so casually today, must have been used at great personal risk at the time.
I highly recommend this song to anyone suffering from discrimination.
By the way, it seems Diana Ross was very popular among gay dancers in those days!
HairLady Gaga

It’s a powerful message song.
By using hair as a metaphor for oneself, it expresses the true self inside that isn’t understood by one’s parents.
People around you will probably decide how you should live, saying “this is how it must be,” but I believe you should be honest with yourself and free to be yourself.
I recommend this song to anyone struggling with who they are inside.
It will give you courage.
