Wiping and washing (cleaning)

Instrument cable
of the cableThe sheath section tends to accumulate excess electric charge (static electricity), and if left as is, it can easily introduce noise and cause deterioration in sound quality. It can happen.
You can remove such static electricity by pinching the coated part with a damp towel and wiping the cable from the tip to the end; the excess static will travel through your hand and dissipate, allowing it to be discharged from the cable.
Of course, it also looks nicer, so it’s killing two birds with one stone.
effects pedal enclosure
Use a cloth for musical instruments to wipe and clean the chassis. Remove the knobs and clear away the dust underneath them.
If this buildup is left as is and gets worse, it can cause “grinding” and “noise.”It will be. If it’s hard to remove with a cloth, try using a makeup brush or an artist’s paintbrush.
How to clean plugs
Cannon connector
Gently wipe the three-core section with a cotton swab moistened with anhydrous ethanol.
There are many small stains that usually go unnoticed.

After cleaning, coat it with a contact revitalizer.

Using a contact revitalizer will make the signal flow even smoother.
Actually,The surface of the plug is bumpy at the molecular level, but by coating it with a contact restorer, you can smooth the contact between the plug and the terminal and transmit the signal without loss.It will become (so that) ... / It comes to be ...
If you apply a large amount of contact revitalizer, it will act as a resistive element and have the opposite effect.
A drop or two is enough—just apply and lightly polish for it to work.

Drums Edition (Snare)
Have you ever cleaned your personal snare drum that you’re always playing?
First, take everything apart.
Points to note when removing the head:Loosen the tension bolts evenly in a diagonal pattern.
If you don’t do it this way, the hoop may become distorted.
The photos show it being done on a hardwood floor, but try to do it on a carpet or blanket whenever possible.

Clean the outer shell (covering) using a cloth for musical instruments.
Wipe the rim dry to remove wood chips and dust.
After cleaning, applying a small amount of silicone spray and wiping it off also helps prevent dirt, so it’s recommended.

Since a bent rim will affect the sound, avoid working in a way that presses it against the floor or similar surfaces.

The polishing method for shells varies depending on the material and finish, but for a maple snare, apply a small amount of orange oil and wipe the inside of the shell. (This prevents the wood from drying out)

If any screws inside are loose, tighten them with a screwdriver.
Since the inside of the lug often has dust or grease on it, clean it with a cotton swab.
Because the tension bolts are heavily soiled with metal debris and oil, soak them in a detergent solution, wipe off the dirt and detergent with a cloth, and then apply a small amount of grease.

Too much will have the opposite effect. Just the amount that fits on the tip of a cotton swab is fine.
Replace with a new head, tune it with the regular tuning keys, and you're done.
Right after re-covering, tune it after breaking in the head: stretch it a bit tighter and apply weight (e.g., sit on it to put your body weight on it) to let it settle first.
Surprisingly useful! For removing stickers…
Finger Ease is recommended for removing sticker residue from instruments.
Originally, it’s something you spray on instrument strings like guitar strings to make them slide more smoothly, and I think many people have it.
Using this will remove the sticky residue left by sticker remover on the guitar body.
Because it’s quite oily, applying too much can actually make it dirtier. Try spraying a small amount onto a tissue and rubbing it gently.
If you’re patient, you can peel off the stickers cleanly. Finger Ease is sold at music stores for about 500–800 yen.
To easily remove rust from metals like iron or aluminum...
When you want to remove rust from metals like iron or aluminum, use woodworking glue.
Wood glue is not originally intended for bonding metal, so it tends not to adhere well to smooth surfaces such as metal parts and is prone to peeling off.
At the same time, because it tends to bond well with rough surfaces, it can firmly capture only the rust and be cleanly peeled off from the metal parts.
The key points are to apply wood glue thoroughly so that it completely covers the rusted areas, and to allow sufficient drying time.
Please be aware that using this hack on rusted, painted areas may peel off the paint along with the rust.
I think it can be applied to musical instruments in general.
Keep both the instruments you usually use with your band and the ones stored away in the closet clean.Let me do it for you.
And please make a lot of sounds.
I think the instrument would be happier that way, too.
