Ultramarine DaysToukyou Jihen

This band was formed around the hugely popular singer-songwriter Ringo Sheena.
It’s a star-studded group of super players including Seiji Kameda, Ukigumo, Tsujiiro Hata, and Ichiyo Izawa.
The debut song, “Gunjou Biyori,” is famous for the phrase “Shinjuku wa gouu” (“Shinjuku is in a downpour”).
Doubt first.itashimoku

Formed in 2019 by three high school students, Hachurui-kei rock band Itashime is a reptile-themed trio bursting with personality that lives up to their striking tagline.
Lead vocalist Chiaki Shion’s powerful, rock-edged voice is seriously cool.
Riding a wave of momentum, they pulled off their first nationwide tour in 2022, hitting 24 locations.
In 2023, they released their third album, “Genetic-Level NO!!!,” and embarked on a second national tour.
They’re a band to watch, so be sure to catch them live!

The seasons change only you.BOØWY

This is BOOWY’s final single, a song you could say changed Japan’s band scene.
Over a hard-driving melody line and growling guitars, sweet lyrics are layered with Himurock’s irresistibly seductive vocals.
They were a band everyone admired, one that had an enormous impact on Japan’s rock scene.
Surprisingly, they have very few ballads, but listening to this emotionally rich track makes you think all over again, “I wish we could have heard more of their songs.” A true classic.
I want to take only you away just like this.DEEN

The composition is by Tetsuro Oda and the lyrics are by WANDS’s Sho Uesugi, and it was the result of vocalist Shuichi Ikemori trying out this song that led to the formation of DEEN.
There is also a WANDS version of the same song, but the original with Shuichi Ikemori on vocals gives a calmer, more sensual impression.
It became DEEN’s biggest hit and remains a classic that continues to be sung today, leaving its mark on Japan’s rock scene.
When I feel like seeing youFish and Lips

A three-piece band from Hatogaya, Saitama.
They formed and got moving in 2022, when the members were high school juniors.
As an original band outside of any school club, you can sense the trust among the members and their eagerness to be active as a band.
With songs like “Seishun Rock o Utatte” and “Aitaku Nattara,” they make the most of their high school setting, delivering lyrics that convey the sweetness and conflicts of youth, paired with a driving sound that’s part of their appeal.
As a three-piece, each member has clear solo moments and highlights, which also reflect the trust they have in one another.
The Galaxy Express999Godiego

Nowadays it’s completely become like an EXILE song, but back then Godiego’s popularity was tremendous, and every song they released was a hit.
Among them, “The Galaxy Express 999” could be called a masterpiece among masterpieces.
Their musical style fit science fiction very well, and it overlapped perfectly with the image of the wildly popular Galaxy Express 999, making it a huge hit.
The insert song “Taking Off” is also a very light and excellent track.
Rose of PassionTHE BLUE HEARTS

The Blue Hearts, who can be called pioneers of Japanese punk rock, have a voice that shakes the listener’s soul in a way no one else can match.
As you listen, you don’t even know why, but the tears start to flow—these are songs like that.
Amid a Japanese band scene dominated by love songs, they carved out a unique place for themselves.
This is an early masterpiece of theirs.
