No need to fear wild requests!! A roundup of recommended impersonation repertoire for men (1–10)
Beat Takeshi

Well-known figures inevitably tend to be impersonated.
Takeshi Kitano (Beat Takeshi) is surely one of them, isn’t he? He’s famous worldwide as a comedy performer and as a film director—known internationally as “Kitano.” For years, his distinctive voice and manner of speaking have made him a popular target for impressions, and you often see them on TV and elsewhere.
As Beat Takeshi, you could do comedic gags in an impression, or you could mimic iconic lines from his representative films, too.
Yoshio Goto

A character in the 2024 Netflix drama “Jimenshi-tachi” (The Land Scammers) was played by Pierre Taki.
This character, Goto, has a catchphrase—“Mou ee deshou” (“That’s enough, isn’t it?”)—which became a hot topic and was even nominated for the Buzzword of the Year award.
In the show, he often uses it to cut people off whenever things aren’t going his way, and plenty of viewers probably felt like imitating it.
You could deliver it just like in the drama—high-handed and in fluent Kansai dialect—or put your own spin on it by swapping in something like “XX deshou” and turning it into a one-shot gag.
Captain Levi

Captain Levi, a hugely popular character from the anime Attack on Titan.
He’s a cool, highly capable guy—so stylish, right? Let’s learn how to imitate Captain Levi’s voice! The voice of Captain Levi is performed by voice actor Hiroshi Kamiya.
Like Levi, he’s an extremely popular voice actor.
If you get the hang of Levi’s voice, you might even be able to do other characters voiced by Kamiya, too—which is exciting and a nice bonus.
It’ll be even more fun if someone else takes on another character and you do a dialogue together.

Tetsurō Degawa

There are a lot of people who do Tetsuro Degawa impressions, aren’t there? On variety shows and the like, you’ll sometimes see everyone surrounding Degawa-san, all mimicking his voice until the whole place is filled with Degawa lookalikes (lol).
Speaking of Degawa-san, his catchphrase might as well be “Yabai yo, yabai yo~.” Just saying that line—even if the impression isn’t spot-on—already gets across that you’re doing a Degawa impression.
It’s that famous, so don’t hold back—go all out and give it your best!
Keisuke Kuwata

Celebrities and singers who are easy to impersonate tend to have some distinctive quirks.
Keisuke Kuwata’s husky voice and unique Japanese pronunciation are very striking, making his standout traits easy to capture.
His style of singing Japanese with an English-like touch is easy to mimic and is sure to be a hit at karaoke.
R-rated

R-Shitei, the MC of Creepy Nuts who’ve gained popularity with a string of hits including “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born,” is not only great at rapping but also excels at delivering soaring sung parts.
Along with his distinctive singing style that switches between various vocal tones, his long hair and beard make his appearance stand out—perfect for impressions.
Plus, his vibe during THE FIRST TAKE as part of Umeda Cypher became a hot topic, so if you’re in a crowd that loves hip-hop, doing that impression is guaranteed to land.
Study every detail—voice, rap, movements, everything.
Takuya Kimura

Takuya Kimura excels as a singer, dancer, and actor.
He’s starred in countless hit dramas and films—most of you have probably seen him in something.
Since his idol days, he’s been known as a heartthrob and has appeared in many dramas, but HERO in particular was a series loved by a wide range of ages.
I often see people doing impressions of him in that down jacket and denim look he wore back then.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that with just that outfit and hairstyle, about 80% of the impersonation is already done (lol).
