Beat ItMichael Jackson

The King of Pop, Michael Jackson’s classic “Beat It.” If you’re thinking, “This is way too hard, no way,” don’t worry.
It’s actually pretty easy.
That’s because the song’s vocal range isn’t all that wide.
In other words, even if you can’t sing very low or very high, you can still pull it off.
If it feels too high, try lowering the key—you should be able to sing it then, right? There aren’t many vibrato or long-note sections, but there are lots of parts that call for shouts, so focus on singing with power!
Beach HouseThe Chainsmokers

If you’re looking for stylish Western songs that are easy to sing at karaoke, tracks by The Chainsmokers are a great choice.
The Chainsmokers are hugely popular worldwide and well-known in Japan too, making them karaoke staples.
Their songs don’t require a very wide vocal range, so even those who aren’t confident with high notes may find them easy to sing.
It’s also recommended to use some gestures to hype up the chorus when it shifts into an EDM-style drop.
Lie To Me5 Seconds of Summer

This is “Lie To Me” by 5 Seconds of Summer, a pop band from Australia.
It’s a modern pop song that fuses rock and dance music, and it’s guaranteed to get the crowd going at karaoke! The phrases are cool, so if you can sing it properly in English, you’ll really stand out.
Bring out the charm of this song by singing it softly and with feeling.
We Are YoungFun

The fan favorite “We Are Young,” which won Song of the Year at the 55th Grammy Awards in 2013.
It’s a piece with a modern melody characteristic of indie pop, and actually, it’s quite easy to sing.
Thinking, “Huh? But isn’t this song high?” Yes, there are high parts.
But you know what? If the high notes are tough, just lower the key.
The only high section is the long tone in the chorus.
If you can get through that, the rest has a calm melody, so it ends up sounding pretty good.
Lower the key to suit your voice and give it a try.
Cosmic GirlJamiroquai

Jamiroquai is a band known for their stylish sound, and Cosmic Girl is one of their hit songs.
I’ll say this up front: honestly, it’s hard to sing this song well without a good sense of rhythm.
It doesn’t demand a lot of vocal technique, so if you’re confident in your groove, definitely give it a try.
The English is fairly challenging, so I recommend memorizing the lyrics in advance.
Every Year, Every ChristmasLuther Vandross

Luther Vandross has a soft, rich singing voice.
“Every Year, Every Christmas” is a Christmas song that suits his voice perfectly.
Because it’s a relaxed tempo, even those who aren’t confident in English pronunciation can sing it calmly.
There are plenty of parts to really sing out, and it feels good just to listen—so if you can master it, it’ll feel even better! Vocal power is important, but more than that, focus on resonance when you sing.
In the parts where the chorus swells, use your breath well to project your voice farther, and let it resonate in your chest and head.
Simply placing a hand on your chest helps you feel the resonance and makes it easier to sing.
For high notes, don’t force chest voice; aim for head resonance so you can use a strong falsetto—be especially mindful of your breath here too!
