How to Play with Marbles (21–30)
Marble collision sphere

This “marble collision sphere” can create motion similar to the principle of a Newton’s cradle.
While a Newton’s cradle typically uses metal balls, you can enjoy similar movements with marbles.
It’s surprisingly easy to make, so it’s a great recommendation for a weekend craft project with kids.
You can have a lot of fun trying out the various laws of motion demonstrated by a Newton’s cradle.
Marble Billiards

It’s a billiards game that uses the part that moves by recoil when retracting the tip of a click ballpoint pen to flick a marble.
Flicking marbles can be worrisome because they might roll off to unexpected places, but with this billiards game you can play safely.
Once you get the hang of dropping the marble into the holes, it’s a fun game for both adults and children.
Marble Seesaw

For children, the Marble Seesaw is fun to watch all by itself.
Marbles with beautiful colors roll along in the direction of the tilt, and the seesaw action works under the marbles’ weight, dropping them to the next level—letting kids naturally grasp basic everyday principles through play.
Watching the marbles roll back and forth to the right and left is very entertaining for children.
It also seems fun to imitate this kind of mechanism with cardboard and create your own version.
B-Daman

B-Daman, released by Takara Tomy in 1993.
It’s a toy where you assemble super-deformed (chibi) parts to make a figure and shoot marbles loaded into holes in the head or abdomen.
Its mechanical yet cute look was distinctive and it became explosively popular, especially among elementary schoolers at the time.
The line developed a deep character identity, with versions that added competitive elements to the simple act of shooting marbles and others that featured rich storytelling.
It also drew attention through media mix expansions, being adapted into anime, manga, and video games.
In conclusion
From games you can play with just a single marble to handmade games that use marbles—and even accessories—there are actually many ways to play with and make use of marbles.
Marbles are easy for both children and adults to enjoy, but if there are infants or toddlers who tend to put things in their mouths, or if you’re using marbles for crafts, be sure a guardian is always present.
Let’s play safely and have fun with marbles!
