Calculation Quiz

We would like to introduce a “calculation quiz” that cultivates logical thinking, memory, and arithmetic skills.
There are four problems in total; the answers to three are known.
The final problem provides a hint, and it’s a quiz where you deduce the answer by working through the calculations leading up to it.
Starting from the answer and working backward, you calculate which numbers fit into the parts marked with symbols such as circles and squares, and you need to remember the numbers used along the way.
Because it requires performing multiple activities simultaneously, it provides stimulating content for the brain.
There is also a time limit, so it’s important to proceed calmly without rushing.
What flowers are given on Mother’s Day in Australia?
On Mother’s Day, when we express appreciation and gratitude to our mothers, giving carnations is the classic choice, isn’t it? This custom of giving carnations came from the United States, and an interesting point is that in Australia, a different type of flower is given.
By comparing the types of flowers, we may gain insight into each country’s Mother’s Day history and differences in climate.
In Australia, chrysanthemums—which bloom around the time of Mother’s Day—are given as gifts.
What do you call the various national flags displayed at a sports day?
There are two patterns for when sports festivals are held: in spring or in autumn, with the spring sports festival season starting around the end of May.
How about a quiz where we recall the classic decorations used at these festivals and try to come up with their names? The decoration featuring a row of various national flags not only looks vibrant but also evokes a sense of global unity.
This decoration is called “bankokki” (strings of national flags).
It became established as a sports festival ornament after originally being flown in the Meiji era as proof of amity toward foreign ships.
From May 31 to June 6 every year is “〇〇 Week.” What is this week calling for?

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare designates the week from May 31 to June 6 each year as “No Smoking Week.” This was established following the World Health Organization (WHO) designating May 31 as “World No Tobacco Day.” Did you know that even non-smokers face the risk of secondhand smoke? Secondhand smoke refers to inhaling cigarette smoke from people around you, even though you yourself are not smoking.
We hope that smokers, aware of the risks posed to others as well as themselves, will observe proper etiquette and take No Smoking Week as an opportunity to value their health.
Mother’s Day 3-choice Quiz

Mother’s Day is a familiar occasion for expressing gratitude to our mothers.
This time, we’re introducing a three-choice quiz themed around Mother’s Day.
When is Mother’s Day? Which country did Mother’s Day originate in? What was the original color of the carnations given on Mother’s Day? You may find there are things you’re not sure about when you think them through.
You can also change the questions, or increase or decrease the number of choices, to encourage more people to take part.
With just simple preparations, anyone can enjoy participating—even in senior care facilities.
Give it a try!
What kind of wishes are imbued in kashiwa-mochi?
Children’s Day, a holiday that wishes for children’s healthy growth, is perhaps the most representative holiday of May.
On this day, we express our celebratory feelings with various foods such as kashiwa mochi, chimaki, and chirashi-zushi.
These foods are not only seasonally appropriate, but also carry meanings connected to Children’s Day.
Even kashiwa mochi, the quintessential Children’s Day sweet, has a special significance.
Because oak trees and their leaves are said not to shed old leaves until new buds emerge, kashiwa mochi symbolizes meanings such as “unbroken family lineage” and “prosperity of descendants.”
Flying Insect Quiz

Here’s a quiz where you guess which insects can fly.
The concept itself is interesting, isn’t it? Three insects appear at a time, but there isn’t always just one correct answer, and it’s intriguing that some unexpected insects can or can’t fly.
Plus, the English names of the insects are shown, so you can learn them at the same time, which seems like great brain training.
If you become interested in the names or habits of insects you didn’t know, I recommend looking them up.
It’s a really educational quiz, isn’t it?
