Pen magic that produces a coin
It’s a magic trick where, after signaling with a ballpoint pen to a hand that should be empty, a coin appears in the hand.
In fact, a coin is fitted into the pen’s clip from the beginning, and while keeping that part out of view, you move it into the hand.
Pay attention to how you hold the pen when showing that your hand is empty, and how you conceal the coin when moving the pen.
If the clip or coin catches inside your hand, people will suspect a gimmick, so it’s also crucial to judge the position where it can be removed smoothly.
A coin that fits inside a plastic bottle
This is a magic trick where you press a coin against a sealed plastic bottle and make it appear to penetrate inside.
You proceed using a bottle that looks unopened: remove the cap along with the tamper ring, place the coin and water inside, then reattach it.
The key is the coin’s position in the water—hide it along the bottom rim so it’s concealed by refraction.
Then cover a second coin with your hand, gradually change the bottle’s angle, and reveal the coin inside to complete the effect.
Be sure to clearly show the step where you open the bottle to emphasize that it appears sealed.
Retention Vanish
For those who want to dive into serious magic, I also recommend the retention vanish.
It’s one of the techniques used in coin magic.
First, open your right palm and place a coin onto it with your left hand.
In reality, though, you quickly move your middle finger to return the coin back into your left hand.
At the same time, you close your right hand, and when you open it, it looks as if the coin has disappeared.

The key is to minimize the time the coin is hidden.
A magic trick to guess the chosen coin
This is a magic trick where you guess which one coin a participant chose from among several coins.
It relies solely on the properties of metal, so anyone can do it once they understand the method.
I don’t think it requires any practice.
It’s very simple, so watching the reference video once should be enough to understand it.
A 500-yen coin instantly turns into a 100-yen coin.
No blinking—this is a coin magic trick you can do in a split second.
The gimmick is crucial, so make sure you prepare carefully.
First, get a 500-yen coin and a 100-yen coin.
Attach a strong, thin neodymium magnet to the back of the 500-yen coin using double-sided tape.
Also, stick another neodymium magnet to your hand with double-sided tape.
Once that’s done, you’re ready.
Secretly place the 100-yen coin beneath the 500-yen coin in advance.
Then, wave the hand with the magnet over the 500-yen coin…
and in an instant, the 500-yen coin turns into a 100-yen coin.
After performing, quickly and discreetly clean up so the method isn’t exposed.
A coin vanishes from the table
It’s a super simple coin vanish from a tabletop that surprisingly doesn’t get detected often.
First, place a coin on the table.
Any coin works, but larger ones like a 500-yen coin tend to look better.
Next, stack your palms and rub the coin.
As you do this, gradually slide the coin and let it drop under the table—that’s it.
Be sure to drop the coin onto your own foot.
If it hits the floor, the sound will give you away.
A coin instantly teleports from the performer’s hand to the back of the spectator’s hand.
This is a magic trick where a coin that should have been held by the performer disappears and, before anyone realizes it, ends up in a spectator’s hand.
The key elements are how you hold the coin and how you direct the audience’s gaze; getting them to discover the coin in an unexpected place leads to big reactions.
Use the performer’s eye line and movements to strongly draw attention to the hand that isn’t holding the coin and divert awareness from the hand that is.
It’s also important to guide the spectator’s hand in a way that doesn’t reveal that the coin has been placed on the back of their hand.
