Prepare one piece each of outer fabric and lining, quilt batting, a zipper, and the pattern.

Place the pattern on the outer fabric, lining, and batting, and cut the fabric to the pouch shape.

Sew the lining pieces together and make the inner pocket.

Make small snips on the outer side where the zipper will go, then sew it together with the batting and fabric.

It’s best to pin or clip everything in place to prevent shifting as you sew.
