ROCK IN JAPAN, organized by Rockin’ On Japan, is one of Japan’s premier summer festivals alongside Summer Sonic and Fuji Rock. Since 2014 it has been held over four days, making it one of the largest events in the country. With an exceptionally impressive lineup every year, attending Rockin’ might be the perfect way to catch all the most popular Japanese bands.

Akita-born singer-songwriter Yu Takahashi hosts the outdoor festival Akita CARAVAN MUSIC FES. His dream since his major-label debut—to energize Akita through music—has finally come true. As the word CARAVAN in the event title suggests, the festival changes its venue every year, aiming to tour all 13 cities within Akita Prefecture.

Fukushima Prefecture

LIVE AZUMASat 10/17 – Sun 10/18, Fukushima Prefecture

Pay attention to the star-studded lineup at one of Fukushima Prefecture’s largest festivals, created by local Fukushima TV, Creativeman Productions (the organizer of Summer Sonic), and Flying Beko, a creative team formed by Fukushima natives. The spacious stadium venue—also used during the Olympics—offers more than just live performances by artists; it also features a rich array of free areas, including a market showcasing local Tohoku ingredients and art.
