Held since 2009 under the name KESEN ROCK, this event wasn’t started by band members or event promoters, but by ordinary people. It’s described as an event “made entirely by hand without even knowing what a rock festival is,” making it a celebration of true DIY spirit.

This event was launched to reinvigorate Fukushima after the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear accident led to a sharp decline due to harmful rumors. Held in a hot spring resort town, it’s an event you can fully enjoy—not only music, but also hot springs, food, and sightseeing. And since it takes place in a hot spring area, accommodation plans are available as well, so why not enjoy all that Iizaka Onsen has to offer?

A spring festival for citizens will be held in Shiraoka City, Saitama Prefecture! Local amateur bands active in the area will perform on the outdoor stage next to the Shiraoka City Hall. The performers’ styles are diverse—blues, bossa nova, hard rock, and even high school bands from within the city—energizing the crowd with powerful shows.
