ITAMI GREENJAMSat 9/13 – Sun 9/14, Hyogo Prefecture

A large-scale free local festival in the Kansai region held every September since 2014! Despite being free to enter, it brings together popular artists from a wide range of scenes. There’s also a well-stocked market with local food and handmade goods, as well as a variety of workshops. About half of the attendees reportedly come with their families, making it a great event to attend with children.

Oto-ConSat 9/13 – Sun 9/14, Fukushima Prefecture

This is a music event that has been held since 2013 to energize entertainment in Kitakata. The participating artists range from amateurs to professionals, and the genres are mixed—band performances, acoustic sets, and dance performances set to music. The event has grown larger every year, and visitors now come from outside the prefecture as well. Come join in the fun with the people around you and enjoy local food and delicious sake while you’re at it.
