List of Local Festivals Nationwide [2026]

“MEMORIES OF THE FUTURE” is an independent outdoor music and food festival that has been running in Osaka since 2013 and will celebrate its 17th edition in 2026. The venue is around the Flowers and Green Square in Suminoe Park, and the all-day event is free to enter. In addition to live performances and DJs spanning a wide range of genres—from rock and jam bands to acoustic, techno, and house—there will also be local food and handmade craft vendors. Scheduled for May 2026.

BOTAFES is a plant-inspired music and culture festival held in the Hosokawa area of Ikeda, Osaka. Paying homage to the region’s history as a hub for ornamental plant cultivation since the Muromachi period, it embraces the concept of “Ueki (potted plant) Culture × Festival.” A rich array of lifestyle-adjacent cultures—music, art, fashion, food, and design—gathers under the theme of plants, creating a day to experience coexistence with nature. Scheduled for May 2026.

Pangea EXPO is a circuit-style music event held across the entire area to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the live music venue Pangea, which was founded in 2011 in Osaka’s America-mura. Using multiple nearby venues such as BIGCAT, ANIMA, SUNHALL, and HOKAGE, the event allows attendees to walk around the neighborhood while enjoying performances by a diverse lineup of artists. It is presented by GREENS, a leading live event promoter, with support from FM802. The event will take place on June 13, 2026.
