Borofesta is held at Kyoto KBS Hall—whose stained glass behind the stage is truly striking—and at the live music venue METRO. Organized entirely as a D.I.Y. festival by an executive committee made up of people working in music, such as live house staff and band members, along with many volunteer staff, Borofesta offers a wealth of perspectives unique to a D.I.Y. festival and enjoyment you won’t find at other events.

Under the concept that seems to embody jazz—“Three Days of Communication: Music Nurtures the Power of Life”—this event spotlights cutting-edge performers, focusing on highly creative, avant-garde music and art performances. Centered at Sengawa Theater, it features numerous musicians active both in Japan and abroad, including many international artists. We present a one-of-a-kind lineup you can only experience here and now. Don’t just enjoy the music—come feel the jam session between people themselves.

This is a festival hosted by MONGOL800, the Okinawan artists behind nationwide hit songs! And of course, it’s held in Okinawa! The lineup is insanely good. It’s shaping up to be an amazing music event where you can enjoy live performances surrounded by Okinawa’s beautiful seas and nature.

TRUE NORTH FESTIVAL, hosted by Tokyo hardcore band Crystal Lake, who tour the world. Bands connected to Crystal Lake will gather at Shin-Kiba Studio Coast. The lineup is packed with acts only they could bring together: up-and-coming bands who won the audition, energetic domestic bands, hardcore bands that have shaped the scene since Crystal Lake’s early days, and top-tier metal bands from overseas.
