Mujiq Fest NaraFri, 5/1 – Thu, 12/31 Nara Prefecture
Musikfest Nara, whose name comes from the German word for “music festival,” is a large-scale music festival organized by Nara Prefecture that began in 2012. Venues across the prefecture include World Heritage shrines and temples, historic halls, as well as cafés and community centers in town, blending the ancient capital’s scenery with a rich variety of sounds. Centered on classical music, the lineup spans jazz, traditional Japanese music, world/folk music, and rock, fostering a community-wide music culture. In 2026, it will run for an extended period from May through December.

Salad Music FestivalSat 5/2 – Wed 11/18, Tokyo
The SaLaD Music Festival was launched in 2018 as a festival where everyone can experience and express the joy of music. Based on the concept behind its name—Sing and Listen and Dance: Sing! Listen! Dance!—it offers a fresh and diverse lineup of programs. In addition to its main venue at Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre (Toshima Ward), performances are also held at the Ueno Park Outdoor Stage and civic halls throughout the Tama area. From May to November 2026, the festival will present the Main Concert, the OK! Orchestra, the SaLaD Premium Concert, and more.

“Lalaport Kashiwanoha Music Festa 2026” is a music event held at the Center Plaza on the 2nd floor of the main building of Lalaport Kashiwanoha, a commercial complex in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture. Groups active in Kashiwa and the Tokatsu area will gather to present performances centered on wind ensemble music. The official call invites people to “experience the joy of music together,” making it an event where you can feel the region’s musical culture up close. Multiple dates are scheduled on weekends and holidays from May to November 2026.

SHINJUKU LOFT 50th CIRCUITSat, Oct 3, Tokyo Metropolis
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Shinjuku LOFT, counting from its days in Nishi-Shinjuku, a music event will be held in a circuit format connecting nine venues around Kabukicho, including ZEPP Shinjuku, Shinjuku LOFT, and SHINJUKU MARZ. Upholding the mission unique to a long-established live house—aiming to create a communication space that bridges all kinds of music, forms of expression, and generations—the first lineup features cali≠gari, SAKANAMON, deadman, and more. The event will take place in October 2026.
