Songs whose titles start with “Ne” – well-known songs (21–30)

Nemophilakoaramōdo

Koalamode., a male-female duo from Yokohama, colors everyday life with their translucently pure vocals and richly hued melodies.

Chosen as the ending theme for the TV anime “The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter,” this song was released in February 2021 as their eighth single.

It’s a heartwarming medium-tempo number themed around the blue, delicate flower whose language of flowers is “I forgive you.” The lyrics brim with the kindness of accepting each other’s differences and rekindling bonds, gently loosening the heart with every listen.

With Annu’s soaring vocals woven together with Yasuhiro Obata’s meticulously crafted sound, this track is perfect for listening under the soft May sunlight.

Give it a listen when you’re a bit worn out from relationships or when you want to spend a calm, tender day with someone special.

wishUru

There are moments when we suddenly realize just how precious the ordinary scenes of everyday life are.

Uru, a singer whose crystal-clear voice captivates many.

My recommendation this time is a medium-tempo ballad that gently sings of the value of those seemingly commonplace days.

Released in September 2019 as her 8th single, it was used as the ending theme for the TV anime Granbelm.

Written following her previous song Prologue, this track features lyrics that linger like the afterglow of the story.

Even amid anxiety and uncertainty, it gives you the courage to move forward by taking someone’s hand.

Why not listen to it when you want to reaffirm the presence of someone dear to you, or alone on a quiet night?

When you need the courage to dive into a new world, try listening to a soul-stirring wa-rock tune! Crafted by the popular Vocaloid producer Mikito-P—known for hits like “Roki”—this passionate piece fuses the powerful beats of Japanese taiko with electronic sounds.

Released in June 2023 as the theme song for “Hatsune Miku × Kodo Special Live 2023 ~Yui~,” it actually features the performances and calls of the taiko performing arts ensemble Kodo.

On the eve of a school entrance ceremony, it’s sure to ignite a heart brimming with both anticipation and nerves.

Wish Cherry BlossomOosawa Momoko

This is a 20th-anniversary release by Momoko Osawa, an enka singer who is also a singer-songwriter.

It’s a single released in August 2023, and it’s very characteristic of Momoko Osawa in that it was created with a hanging decoration, imbued with prayers for earthquake disaster victims, as its motif.

The lyrics, written under her pen name Tsubaki Nakamura, express enduring feelings for someone she can no longer meet, and I think anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one will resonate strongly with it.

The motif of the hanging decoration was apparently recognized by Guinness World Records in April 2019, and knowing that background may make it resonate with you even more deeply.

Please give it a listen when you want to quietly think of someone dear to you or when you’d like to gently calm your heart.

REIKO is a powerhouse singer-songwriter born in the Philippines and raised in Aichi, Japan.

With a groove-rich voice rooted in R&B and pop, she captivates listeners.

Among her songs, this Latin-flavored number portrays the push and pull of a summer fling.

Its exotic sound and sultry vocals conjure a sophisticated, night-bewitched mood.

Released digitally in June 2024 and later included on her first EP, “Debut,” which came out in December of the same year, the track arrived as a single following its first radio airplay and a surprise performance at a fan meeting.

It’s the kind of song you’ll want to play on nights when you want to lift your spirits—perfect for a drive or a night party.

thermal anomalyiyowa

Heat Anomaly / Iyowa feat. Rei Adachi

Released in October 2022, the song features Rei Adachi’s vocals resonating as if pleading with a world coming to an end.

The soundscape—an overwhelming blend of feverish delirium and unquenchable passion—is stunning.

The anxious, fast-paced beat and the piano tones somehow create an irresistibly pleasant addictiveness.

It won first place at VocaColle 2022 Autumn, and in May 2024 it was added to the game “Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!” (Project SEKAI).

It is also included on the album “Eiga, Hidamari, Sotsugyoushiki” (Film, Sunny Spot, Graduation Ceremony).

Negative Fighter is a song whose messages affirming our life-sized weaknesses resonate when we’re on the verge of feeling down.

Released in May 2021, it’s Hey! Say! JUMP’s 29th single and was used as the theme song for the drama Detective Hoshikamo, starring Daiki Arioka from the group.

Its bright, catchy melody is striking—almost as if it turns even negative emotions into power.

Another highlight is the comical and cute dance performance choreographed by ATARASHII GAKKO! When you’re lacking confidence or need a boost, their pop vocals seem to whisper, “You’re fine just the way you are.” Give this track a listen and try taking a step forward with your shoulders relaxed.
