Jack-o’-lantern made with a footprint
In October, many children look forward to Halloween.
So here’s a craft I’d like to introduce: “Jack-o’-lanterns made from footprints.” There are two main steps.
First, prepare white paper and orange paint.
Then apply the paint to the feet and press footprints onto the paper in a row.
This should create a silhouette that looks like a pumpkin.
Finally, add eye and mouth pieces to the pumpkin, and it’s done.
One of the charms of this idea is that when you look back at it later, you can feel how much the child has grown.
Grapes with balloon stamps
This is a grape craft using balloons that kids love.
Inflate a balloon, dip it in paint, and stamp to create grape shapes.
Once the paint dries, cut out the grape shapes and attach a paper leaf and stem to finish.
It’s best to use the paint without thinning it so the color goes on well.
You can use just one color, but using multiple colors like purple, navy, and pink will make the result more vibrant and three-dimensional.
Inflate the balloons only a little so they’re easy for children to hold.
Mushrooms you can make in 2 minutes

An origami mushroom motif that lets you feel the autumn season.
It’s also appealing that you can make it in about two minutes using two sheets of origami paper! You’ll make the mushroom cap and the stem separately.
There are some fine folds, so certain steps may feel a bit difficult for two-year-olds.
In that case, an adult should offer support.
Finally, attach the cap and stem with tape or glue, and it’s done! It’s great to decorate the cap with stickers or draw patterns on it.
It might also be fun to give it an expressive face with eyes and a mouth.
[Aluminum Foil] Making Autumn Leaves
![[Aluminum Foil] Making Autumn Leaves](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/fKjIgFzudq4/sddefault.jpg)
How about making autumn foliage art with aluminum foil? First, take a handprint in brown to represent the tree trunk.
Next, crumple some aluminum foil and dab it into paints like yellow, red, and orange.
Prepare a separate piece of foil for each color so they don’t mix.
By gently dabbing the colors over the handprint, the paint will scatter nicely and create a leaf-like effect.
It’s also fun that the pattern of the stamp changes depending on how you crumple the foil.
Give it a try and create a lovely autumn tree with wide-spreading leaves!
Finger-Stamping: Making Autumn Leaves

Why not try expressing the colors of autumn leaves with finger stamping? First, prepare by drawing the trunk of a tree on construction paper.
Set out paint colors on a palette that evoke autumn foliage.
Let the children dab colors onto the paper with their fingers however they like.
Since paint can get muddy if it mixes on their fingertips, having wet wipes ready will keep things moving smoothly.
Once they finish stamping the paint, sprinkle gold or red glitter on top.
When the paint dries, it’s complete! You’ll end up with wonderfully unique pieces.

Fallen Leaves Cake

Autumn parks are full of fallen leaves and acorns, and you can really feel the season, can’t you? Kids tend to play at the park more in autumn, so why not use the leaves and acorns you find there to make a “fallen-leaf cake” craft? First, prepare a three-tier cake base out of cardboard.
Have the children color some drawing paper and paste it onto the base, then let them decorate it with the fallen leaves and acorns.
The sticking and pasting are easy even for little kids, so it’s a simple way to enjoy an art experience!
Curly Yarn Ghost

Let’s make cute little ghosts using toilet paper rolls.
First, show an example and have the children draw ghost faces on the toilet paper rolls.
Next, wrap yarn around the faces.
Using Halloween-themed colors like orange, black, and red will create a nice atmosphere.
When you’re done wrapping, make a small cut in the toilet paper roll and hook the end of the yarn into it to secure it.
Making lots of them and displaying them on a shelf in your room will look adorable!
