Singing impressions

If you’re good at singing, why not try a singing impersonation? Pick a popular song by an artist with a distinctive vocal style, and mimic not only their singing but also their costume, gestures, and expressions when you perform.
Singing impressions get even more exciting if you’re a strong singer, but you don’t need to obsess over perfect quality.
What matters more is capturing the artist’s essence through your look and singing style.
You can find lots of singing impression videos if you search, so use those as references while you practice!
wotagei

Wotagei is a performance known for being done by fans at idol concerts.
Recently, videos of wotagei set to popular songs have been released, and it’s even become a staple party trick.
So if your company is holding a party or a social gathering, why not put on a wotagei performance? Even first-timers can make it look impressive with a bit of practice—perfect for a quick show.
If older attendees who may not be familiar with wotagei will be there, try choosing a song that was a revival hit or otherwise well-known to their generation.
A magic-style gag that prevents someone from standing up with just one finger

It’s a popular bit on video sites and is sure to be a hit at parties.
It’s also nice that you can do it with just one chair.
However, if the party is in a tatami-mat room, be sure to ask the staff in advance, saying, “Could we borrow a chair?”
TT Brothers

This is Chocolate Planet’s comedy bit “TT Brothers.” In it, they find every “T” they can in everyday situations and sing “TTT~!” It became hugely popular with kids.
Instead of copying the whole routine, why not try spotting “T”s at a drinking party or banquet? Or you could even switch from “T” to another letter—it would probably be just as fun.
yo-yo

We’re introducing yo-yo tricks that are easy for beginners to try.
If you can show off some cool moves with a portable yo-yo, you’ll be the center of attention at parties.
Men in particular might feel a wave of nostalgia.
The featured set includes 10 tricks, such as Gravity Pull, Long Sleeper, Around the World, Tower, and Inside Loop.
They’re presented in order from easiest to harder, so practice and master them one by one.
flash mob dance

Flash mobs that bring unexpected emotion to proposals and parties are a tempting choice for entertainment.
Yamauchi from the comedy duo Kamaitachi pulled off a huge gag by attempting a flash mob all by himself at his partner Hamaie’s wedding.
We wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re very brave… Since it’s mainly dancing, it may require a longer practice period than other performances.
It’s reassuring if you have a few people with dance experience.
For company events, it might be fun to divide into teams—like a junior team and a veteran team—and perform that way!
Kappa Plate Ball-Carrying Race

It’s also great to use paper plates at the party venue for an obstacle-course-style game! If you’ve got a large space, the excitement doubles.
Balance a paper plate on your head, hold it in place with your hands, and put a ping-pong ball on top.
The winner is the person who finishes with the most ping-pong balls still on their plate after clearing all the obstacles.
Simple obstacles made from tables and chairs are plenty.
Even just doing one lap around the venue along the walls works well.
You can customize the obstacles in many ways—like greeting the department head or playing rock-paper-scissors with a junior colleague.
Don’t forget to prepare classic sports day-style background music to play during the game!
Blouson Chiemi with B

Performing Chiemi Blouson’s routine at a company party is something many people might shy away from, thinking, “What if it doesn’t go over well?” But if you’re the type who sometimes wants to cut loose and go all in to liven things up, why not give it a try? If it’s a gathering of close colleagues, you may not need to worry that much.
You can make it even more exciting by customizing the material to fit your company.
Add a slogan or your company goals on your back, or boldly declare, “We’re going to hit our targets again this year!” The crowd is sure to go wild!
Robert Akiyama’s Creators File

The comedy trio Robert’s Akiyama stars in the “Creators File,” where he plays all sorts of characters.
Every single one is brilliant, and no matter which one you watch, you’ll end up laughing out loud.
Some of the most famous characters include child actor Michi Uesugi, wedding planner Emiko Age, and fashion advisor YOKO FUCHIGAMI.
They’re all unique and highly recommended—but that makes it hard to choose which one to do, doesn’t it?
Hollywood Zakoshisyoh

If you’re going to perform a solo act, pick a solo comedian! How about doing a routine by Hollywood Zakoshisho? He won the 2016 R-1 Grand Prix, which shot his popularity through the roof.
Show up in black swim trunks and a black cowboy hat and it’ll be obvious at a glance—you’re Hollywood Zakoshisho!
