Loach Scooping Dance

The “Dojo-sukui Dance,” performed to the folk song “Yasugi-bushi” from Yasugi City in Shimane Prefecture, features movements like scooping up loaches and a low, fairly strenuous posture with hip motions that are sure to make you laugh.
The costume adds even more humor: a kasuri jacket with shorts, a waist cord, a tenugui with a mame-shibori pattern on the head, and a 5-yen coin attached to the nose.
Just the look alone can make you chuckle.
There are two styles—the men’s dance and the women’s dance—and each has its own distinct movements.
How about giving it a try without feeling shy, whether you’re a man or a woman?

Teleportation of a coin

It’s a coin teleportation effect where the coin you were holding in each hand appears to move to one hand right before the spectator’s eyes.
You hold one coin in your right hand and one in your left, cross your hands, and to let them confirm which hand holds which coin, you briefly drop them and pick them up again.
At that moment, when you open one hand, the coin in that hand is securely clipped at the base of the thumb, and you use that hand to pick up the coin dropped from the other hand.
It’s simple, so with a little practice you can do it!
Sit on a whoopee cushion without making a sound

This is a party trick using a whoopee cushion that makes a loud farting sound when you sit on it.
While it’s often used as a prank by placing it on someone’s chair to enjoy their reaction, it’s also great for party entertainment! Set it up by saying, “I’m going to sit on the cushion without making a sound,” then slowly take a seat.
And just as everyone expects, go ahead and make a big noise.
Everyone knows what’s coming, but you can’t help laughing at this gag! When the sound goes off, you could even add, “Oh, that one was a real fart,” to get an extra laugh.
Dialect showdown

If there are two or more people from different regions, how about having them stage an argument in their respective dialects? Every region has words and expressions that people from elsewhere won’t understand.
And when it turns into a heated exchange, those dialects really come out strong.
Watching them go all-out arguing in different dialects might leave the audience clueless about what they’re fighting over, but it would make for a funny act.
It’s also amusing because there are so many points to poke fun at, like, “Why can these two even understand each other in the first place?”
Pi recitation

We use pi to find the area and circumference of a circle.
Many people learned it as 3.14 in elementary school, but it’s said to go beyond 62 trillion digits in reality.
How about showing off a recitation of pi—something everyone knows about, but few really know in depth? Simply rattling off as many digits as you can might get boring, so you could spice it up by declaring, “I’ll recite X digits in Y seconds.” That might get the crowd going! And it would be fun if your record at the New Year’s party beats the one from the year-end party (lol).
Dice stacking

A party trick that’s both stylish and cool: shake dice in a cup and they stack up into a tower.
Once you get the hang of it, you can increase the number of dice as much as you like.
Stack lots of dice quickly and nail it with flair.
Plate-and-ball relay race

This is a game where you clear obstacles without dropping a ping-pong ball balanced on a plate on your head.
Everyone plays at once, and the person who has the most ping-pong balls left at the end wins.
The frustration of trying not to drop the invisible ping-pong ball creates a thrilling, heart-pounding experience.
If there are many players, forming teams and doing it as a relay should make it even more exciting.
