Songs with titles that start with “Pi.” Useful for word-chain games or karaoke hints!

Have you ever played “song-title shiritori,” where you’re only allowed to use song titles?

When music lovers play it together, it’s fun because all kinds of songs come up—and on the flip side, it can get lively when you realize you can’t think of as many titles as you expected.

Adding a shiritori twist to karaoke—“shiritori karaoke”—is also a blast.

You connect the songs like in shiritori, and it gets exciting when you end up singing tracks you don’t usually pick.

So in this article, to give you a helpful nudge for those fun moments, I’ll introduce songs whose titles start with “pi.”

I hope you find it useful and have a great time!

Pygmalionout of survice

Pygmalionout of survice

This is “Pygmalion” by the music unit out of survice.

The original meaning of “Pygmalion” is the story of falling in love with a statue one has made.

When I first heard this song, I wondered who was singing it.

I still can’t believe it’s a Vocaloid.

This track broadened the scope of what Vocaloid can do.

I think it’s a song that deserves to be known by many more people.

Pierce, a track from reGretGirl’s 2018 album take.

Have you ever gotten matching piercings with your partner? This song is a bittersweet breakup ballad about how that very piercing ends up becoming the only remaining link to the person you loved after you part ways.

Maybe the moment you take the piercing out is the moment you bring your own love to an end.

two step glory is a melodic punk band formed in 2012 in Atsugi, Kanagawa.

After a hiatus in 2014 and several member and role changes, they released the mini-album “TRUNK” in 2017 through Osaka-based label THE NINTH APOLLO.

Their sound is strikingly powerful and dense—so much so that you might not realize they’re a three-piece.

Rather than heavy, it feels sharp and cutting; including the vocals, it conveys a message that slices straight into the heart.

A room with a pianourema

A three-piece band that draws on 90s alternative rock to craft a distinctive sonic identity.

Their unique musicality and songs themed around dreams and death, delivered with unflinching honesty in live performances, have spread by word of mouth.

They’re gaining attention not only in their home base of Kansai but also in Tokyo and regional areas, and they’ve attracted support from overseas that transcends language barriers—making them a band to watch.

This song was used as the ending theme for the anime “Hakata Mentai! Pirikarako-chan.” Composed by Kanimiso-P—also known as the creator of the hugely popular Gakupo classic “Dancing☆Samurai”—it was released in 2019.

A cute and poppy tune themed around mentaiko (spicy cod roe), its adorable sound alone is enough to soothe the soul.

The vocalists Mikoto and Hime sound like they’re having fun, too.

Perfect for when you want to lift your spirits!

Picnickariyushi 58

It is included as the 12th track on the third album “Mensore, Kariyushi,” released on August 11, 2010, and the original song is the English folk tune “The Picnic.” With a light, up-tempo, catchy arrangement, it’s a song that practically makes you want to whistle! It has also been used as the commercial song for the Shinken Zemi Elementary Course.

Kasukabe Tsumugi “Pirikara”

This is a Vocaloid track with a delightfully crisp tone that makes you want to start dancing.

It’s by the Vocaloid producer Kuritanika, who also created “Apollo” and “Tarante La Musica,” and it was released in June 2023.

If you’re into dance rock, this is a must-listen.

The flow and rhythm of the lyrics feel incredibly satisfying.

And the standout feature of this work is that it’s sung by VOICEVOX Kasukabe Tsumugi.

Since VOICEVOX is software that reads out typed text, it doesn’t actually have a “singing” function.

You can really see Kuritanika’s technical prowess.
