Kazuchika Okada, the Rainmaker, the face of New Japan.

Despite having an exceptionally large frame for a Japanese wrestler, he pulls off high-elevation dropkicks and moves swiftly on the ropes—an active top wrestler who churns out classic matches thanks to his incredible athleticism.

And when it comes to his theme song, it’s “RAIN MAKER.” This track has been used since he returned as the Rainmaker after his training stint in TNA.

Beginning with the sound of a coin dropping, the song shines not only for his standard entrance but also makes a huge impact during run-in moments when he rushes in to save the day.

CM Punk Has Arrived in AEW! | AEW Rampage: The First Dance, 8/20/21

CM Punk is a professional wrestler from the United States who boasts charismatic popularity.

He draws inspiration from Japanese wrestling, and his finisher is KENTA’s “Go 2 Sleep,” made famous in NOAH, WWE, and New Japan.

Known for his excellent mic skills, he’s gained popularity with an unconventional style that doesn’t shy away from breaking the script.

His theme song is “Cult of Personality,” a track by the hard rock band Living Colour, which he’s continued to use since his WWE days without being tied down by rights issues.

It suits his wild, unrestrained persona perfectly, so be sure to check it out!

INOKI BOM-BA-YE (FINAL MIX)1.2.3.DA!

[INOKI BOM-BA-YE 2002] Antonio Inoki makes his entrance riding a portable shrine!

Antonio Inoki’s theme song, “INOKI BOM-BA-YE (FINAL MIX).” It’s a tune every Japanese person has heard at least once.

This piece is a so-called remix: during the bout to determine the world’s best in martial arts, Muhammad Ali—Inoki’s opponent, who praised his valiant effort—gifted him his own song “ALI BOM-BA-YE,” which was then arranged into this version.

With its fiery melody that embodies the fighting spirit, and the performance to match, Antonio Inoki—like Muhammad Ali—will continue to be remembered as a legendary professional wrestler.

Power Hallibo hanshō

Pro Wrestling Entrance Scene ⑦ Riki Choshu (All Japan era, entering with Yatsu in tow)

Riki Choshu’s theme song, “Power Hall.” It’s used so often on variety shows and the like that even people who aren’t that into pro wrestling probably know it.

The piece was composed by an artist credited as Ibo Hansho, but in fact, Ibo Hansho is a pen name of Susumu Hirasawa.

Apparently, the promotion asked for “a song like YMO,” and he composed it while thinking to himself, “Then just ask YMO,” but once you hear it, you can tell that beneath the YMO-like vibe, Hirasawa’s signature style is hiding, right? (laughs)

Jeff Hardy’s Championship Entrance

Jeff Hardy is a professional wrestler with charismatic popularity.

With his athletic ability, risk-taking style, and unique, stylish fashion, he stands out as a truly individualistic performer.

Although he has faced a number of self-destructive issues such as drug and alcohol problems, he has still achieved a great deal in promotions like TNA and WWE.

His theme song is “No More Words,” which also served as the theme for The Hardy Boyz.

Many in the WWE Universe likely felt their hearts race watching Jeff Hardy dance to this track.

Rey Mysterio makes a shocking return in the Royal Rumble Match: Royal Rumble 2018 (WWE Network)

One of the most globally active Mexican wrestlers, Rey Mysterio.

Despite being very small for a pro wrestler at 168 cm, he has gone toe-to-toe with heavyweights over two meters tall and is popular as a wrestler who’s exceptionally skilled at structuring matches.

His theme song is “Booyaka 619.” In his WCW days he used hip-hop flavored tracks, but in WWE the association is definitely Rey Mysterio = “Booyaka 619.” The wild, Mexican rock–inspired melody matches perfectly with the vibe of Rey Mysterio bursting onto the stage off the jump platform, so be sure to check it out.

Scum Of The EarthRob Zombie

Entrance scene of Yoshinari Ogawa & HAYATA, Feb 12, 2021, Nippon Budokan | Pro Wrestling NOAH – copy

Yoshinari Ogawa, a legendary wrestler known to those in the know.

In pro wrestling, athleticism and mic skills tend to get the spotlight, but if you look purely at in-ring skill, there’s no one in Japan—or the world—who truly matches Yoshinari Ogawa.

Though his moves and performance are understated, Ogawa excels at captivating through the flow of a match.

Surprisingly, his entrance is also enduringly popular.

Supporting that entrance is Rob Zombie’s classic “Scum of the Earth.” Built on groove metal, the track delivers a tremendously powerful melody.

Ogawa’s performance—calmly walking to the ring as the song plays—may be simple, but it carries an incredible cool factor.

Be sure to check out his entrance, and his matches as well!
