BUCK-TICK Popular Songs Ranking [2026] (11–20)
Flowers of EvilBUCK-TICK11rank/position

BUCK-TICK is a legendary band that has left behind many masterpieces.
Even after the passing of Atsushi Sakurai, they continue to be loved by countless fans.
Their song “Aku no Hana” is their biggest hit.
It’s characterized by a musical style that blends gothic rock and alternative rock, and it became a nationwide success.
Throughout the piece, the vocal range is set relatively narrow.
There are instances of subtle vibrato, but you don’t necessarily have to match the original exactly—singing it more freely and expansively is also a great option.

BUCK-TICK’s first single, released to the world in October 1986 on an indie label.
Unlike the later, polished gothic image, this is sharp, rough-hewn punk rock.
The lyrics hint at scheming and leave interpretation to the listener, creating a distinctly mysterious atmosphere.
It reached No.
6 on the indie singles chart and was later included as the B-side to their major-label single “Just One More Kiss.” This is a track you’ll want to hear if you want to experience the raw, primordial impulse at the band’s core.

A milestone 30th single.
This work was composed upon request to serve as the opening song for the anime “Shiki.” In creating the song, the members read the original manga to thoroughly understand its world, and composed it based on that.
As a result, the atmosphere of the music and the lyrics match the content very well.

A beautiful ballad that portrays the ache of unrequited love and a journey of self-discovery.
Its gentle melody and Hidehiko Hoshino’s spacious synth sound leave a strong impression.
Atsushi Sakurai’s rich vocals evoke memories of a lost romance and a yearning for freedom.
Released in June 1993, it reached No.
5 on the Oricon charts and sold approximately 171,000 copies.
In 2005, it was also used as the opening theme for the anime Trinity Blood.
Highly recommended as a soul-stirring song for those who, even while carrying the pain of heartbreak, are trying to look ahead.

My first impression when I listened to this song was that it’s classic, straight-ahead rock.
The guitar tone feels similar to THE BACK HORN.
The vocalist’s clinging, entwining voice is so distinctive that once you get hooked, it could become addictive.
The slight touch of an oldies vibe also makes it a really nice track.
Show-stopping beautyBUCK-TICK16rank/position

The 29th single, released in 2010.
The four-on-the-floor drums are very striking, and while the song’s overall style follows BUCK-TICK’s classic lineage, it feels like it incorporates the popular beats of the 2010s.
A track that conveys their relentless, ever-evolving drive.
MiuBUCK-TICK17rank/position

The 13th single released in 1999.
Its dark, laid-back progression, marked by acoustic guitar, is rendered with a heavy, venomous feel.
The title “Miu” apparently has no clear meaning, and what it evokes likely varies from person to person.
The world is filled with darkness.BUCK-TICK18rank/position

A track included on the album “Or, Anarchy,” created around various avant-garde art themes.
It also carries the message that depending on how one perceives it, the meaning of darkness can change significantly—whether it evokes negative images like “anxiety,” or, including that, the unknown “possibility.”
Killed by the SunBUCK-TICK19rank/position

When you’re feeling down or sad, some people may want to listen to songs with even more heartrending themes.
In that case, I’d like to introduce “Taiyou ni Korosareta.” This is a track released in 1991 by the visual kei rock band BUCK-TICK.
It begins with an intro that samples the sound of bells, resulting in an unsettling melody.
The lyrics sing of despair and sorrow in life.
However, in the latter half, the tempo gradually picks up and the vocals grow more powerful.
Consider what meaning might be embedded in that shift.
SpeedBUCK-TICK20rank/position

In the process of working toward a goal, there will be times when you need to pick up speed.
This song is perfect for those moments.
Even during crunch time, when you might start to feel rushed, it lifts your spirits and puts you in the mood to dash through with a bright outlook.
Honestly, I really think good music is like a supplement you take in through your ears.
