BUCK-TICK Popular Song Rankings [2026] (31–40)
Fly HighBUCK-TICK31rank/position

A song released in 1986, back when they were still indie, with a refreshingly bright guitar intro.
The overall sound conveys youthfulness and naiveté, making it a valuable track that lets you see this side of them.
While many artists stop performing their older songs, seeing them play it at recent shows is incredibly cool.
M.A.D.BUCK-TICK32rank/position

Originally included under the title “MAD” on their sixth album Crazy Sun (1991), this track was later rearranged for its single release and retitled “M.A.D.” Around this period, BUCK-TICK began incorporating techno elements such as synthesizers and noise, further solidifying their unique identity as a band.
RONDOBUCK-TICK33rank/position

“RONDO,” included on The Night of Beasts/RONDO, was selected as the ending theme for the 2019 TV anime GeGeGe no Kitaro, drawing widespread attention.
Its melody, reminiscent of gothic rock, conveys both the atmosphere of the band’s early days and the evolution forged over more than 30 years of activity.
The female duo Kuroyuri Sumire participates on violin, accordion, and backing vocals, lending the track greater depth and weight.
Für EliseBUCK-TICK34rank/position

Marking their 25th anniversary and the launch of their independent label, BUCK-TICK released this straightforward rock number in May 2012 as their milestone first single.
The moment Atsushi Sakurai’s seductive vocals ride atop Hisashi Imai’s simple rock ’n’ roll, a uniquely decadent and beautiful world unfolds—just what you’d expect from them.
The track was also included on the classic album Yume Miru Uchuu.
It’s the perfect song for nights when you want to break free from the everyday and bare your emotions.
Night of GuernicaBUCK-TICK35rank/position

While attuned to the sound of the times yet never pandering, BUCK-TICK continues to create music brimming with originality from a solitary vantage point.
Their 21st studio album, No.0, released in 2018, includes the superb track Night of Guernica, distinguished by its melancholy waltz rhythm.
The lyrics, written by vocalist and lyricist Atsushi Sakurai and inspired by the film The Clock Was Live, which he saw at a cinema with his older brother in childhood, form a straightforward anti-war song that is nevertheless distinctly fable-like.
The dramatic development—especially the swell in the latter half—unfolds like a short film, a quality that seems very much indebted to its use of 3/4 time.
infinite loopBUCK-TICK36rank/position

A single marked by a beautiful melody woven from wistful emotion and a fantastical worldview.
The repeatedly invoked phrase “infinite LOOP” symbolically portrays an endless love story.
Released in March 2023, this track was positioned as the second single in a trilogy commemorating BUCK-TICK’s 35th major-label debut anniversary, and it was also selected as the ending theme for NTV’s DayDay.
in April.
The band’s distinctive low-register vocals blend exquisitely with a delicate yet powerful ensemble, captivating listeners with a comfortable rhythm.
It’s recommended not only for those troubled by love, but also for anyone who wants to step away from the everyday and immerse themselves in a dreamlike world.
heartbeatBUCK-TICK37rank/position

This song was released in 1995 as an advance single from their eighth album, Six/Nine.
Despite its laid-back, pop-tinged melody, Atsushi Sakurai’s vocals create a distinctive atmosphere that only BUCK-TICK can achieve.
The music video, featuring a unique production that could make you mistake it for a still image, is also a must-see.
BABELBUCK-TICK38rank/position

As the first installment of the band’s 30th anniversary project, this is their 36th single, released in 2017.
The album No.0, which includes this track, made headlines by entering the top three of the Oricon chart—the band’s first time in 23 years.
Evoking the atmosphere of their early gothic rock while intricately intertwining elements of techno and industrial, the song truly encapsulates the band’s history.
KagerouBUCK-TICK39rank/position

Everything ends up looking sexy—the way they sing, the way they simply stare, even just their normal presence exudes an intense allure.
It’s a music video that’s almost too sultry and too cool, with the members performing in an all-black room.
And the vocalist’s voice matches that atmosphere perfectly.
MY FUCKIN’ VALENTINEBUCK-TICK40rank/position

With a bass tone that supports the rhythm and digitally processed choruses that feel futuristic and cyberpunk, this track stands out.
Sakurai’s low-register vocals are as cool as ever! BUCK-TICK is a five-member band from Gunma Prefecture, formed in 1985.
