WINDING ROADAyaka × Kobukuro1rank/position

This is a song by Ayaka and Kobukuro, widely loved as the theme for the Nissan Cube commercial, that sings of life’s hardships and hopes.
It gently conveys the courage to push forward along life’s winding road and the hope for a small light waiting ahead.
With deep messages about the importance of loving something with an honest heart, and the new possibilities that appear when you let go of attachments and open your heart, this work became a major hit upon its release in February 2007, reaching No.
2 on the Oricon Weekly Chart.
When facing difficulties or taking a new step forward, it will quietly give you a push and guide you toward joy.
Wings Named YouKobukuro2rank/position

When you think of songs used in car commercials, you picture a car dashing through majestic scenery, paired with music that fits perfectly, right? This song, Kobukuro’s “Kimi to Iu Na no Tsubasa” (“Wings Named You”), matches that image exactly—a refreshing track that pairs beautifully with nature and grand landscapes.
The lyrics evoke the seasons and touch on elements like the sky and wind, which totally explains its breezy feel.
At the same time, it’s also a gutsy song that gives you the strength to overcome hardships.

Kobukuro is a Japanese pop duo consisting of Shunsuke Kuroda and Kentaro Kobuchi.

It was included on Kobukuro’s 16th single, “Toki no Ashioto,” released in 2008.
The song was used in a Nippon Life commercial, and it also drew attention because Yui Aragaki—who covered the song—appears in the music video.
It’s a celebrated ballad that gives courage in love, affirming that the red thread of fate surely exists.
BetelgeuseKobukuro5rank/position

It’s a song included on Kobukuro’s 16th single, “Toki no Ashioto,” released in 2008.
It was used in a Cube commercial, in which the two members of Kobukuro also appear.
Comparing an ex-girlfriend to Betelgeuse, it’s a bittersweet yet warm song that conveys a feeling that’s always present.
Starry Smile StoryKobukuro6rank/position
This is a JR West commercial that presents a range of Kansai travel plans all at once.
It highlights numerous sightseeing attractions—from entertainment and gourmet food to history—and encourages travel to Kansai with the tagline, “Follow where your curiosity leads.” The BGM for the commercial features “Starry Smile Story” by Kobukuro, a duo from Osaka.
Previously performed only at live shows, the song will be released digitally in March 2026, marking the 25th anniversary of their major-label debut.
I LOVE YOUKobukuro7rank/position

The song used in the DyDo Blend Coffee commercial is “I LOVE YOU,” one of the signature songs by Yutaka Ozaki, who passed away at a young age, and it’s covered here by Kobukuro.
It’s also included on Kobukuro’s 2010 cover album released for their 10th anniversary, ALL COVERS BEST.
Hearing them sing it brings out a different kind of charm, doesn’t it? Many artists have covered this song, so it’s fun to compare the different versions.
