LINDBERG Popular Song Ranking [2026]

A rock band that debuted in 1989 with Maki Watase on vocals, known for signature songs like “KISS ME Now” and “BELIEVE IN LOVE.” After disbanding, they resumed activities in 2014, but in 2018 it was announced that Watase had functional voice disorder.

Hoping to hear her healthy singing voice as soon as possible, we present a ranking of their popular numbers.

LINDBERG Popular Song Ranking [2026] (11–20)

Premonition After SchoolLINDBERG15rank/position

The 13th single, “Munasawagi no After School,” was featured as the commercial song for Fukutake Shoten’s “Shinken Zemi Junior High Course.” Its lyrics, which evoke the sparkle of our youth amid busy days, are likely to resonate with many listeners who see themselves in the song.

While the ensemble is sprightly, the melody is relaxed, with a narrow vocal range and few large interval jumps, making it a good choice even for those not confident in their singing.

It’s a pop-rock tune perfect for sharing the mood when singing at karaoke with friends from your school days.

Dream On, Hold Me TightLINDBERG16rank/position

The 4th single “Dream On Dakishimete,” used as the CM song for the sports shop Alpen.

Its lyrics portray an unwavering resolve to never give up on one’s dreams no matter what anyone says, and will surely give a powerful push to those striving toward their goals.

Although the overall vocal range is wide because the chorus suddenly jumps to high notes compared to the A and B sections, the melody itself doesn’t move dramatically and is simple, making it easier to try.

Since the chorus continues toward the end, if you’re not confident with high notes, be sure to set the key beforehand to one that suits you.

I’ve gotta do my best, you know.LINDBERG17rank/position

It was released in 1994 as LINDBERG’s 19th single.

It was used as the theme song for the Shinken Zemi Junior High Course commercial and reached No.

1 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart.

The song features a rock style characteristic of LINDBERG with an upbeat sound.

It’s a positive song that makes you feel like saying, “Let’s do our best!”

Over The TopLINDBERG18rank/position

The song “Over The Top,” included on their 5th album LINDBERG V, was used in a Mizuno commercial.

It’s also known for being used by judoka Ryoko Tani as a fight song during the Barcelona Olympics, and its lyrics are striking for the way they lift your spirits.

Since the vocals start in a high register right from the first line, be careful not to miss the initial pitch or it will be hard to recover.

The overall range isn’t that wide, so if high notes are tough for you, try setting the key to something more comfortable and give it a go.

ROUTE 246LINDBERG19rank/position

[I tried playing it myself] LINDBERG / ROUTE 246
ROUTE 246LINDBERG

The debut single “ROUTE 246,” released simultaneously with the first album LINDBERG I.

The contrast between the edgy, bridge-muted guitar sound and the cool melody is striking.

Since the melody doesn’t move much and often sits in the lower range, it’s relatively easy to sing, but be careful not to get complacent—the leaps in the chorus can make it easy to miss the notes.

It’s a straightforward rock tune that I’d especially like those of that generation to try at karaoke.

Ring My BellLINDBERG20rank/position

LINDBERG’s “Ring My Bell,” with lead vocalist Maki Watase’s lively voice that wakes you right up.

This song, included as the B-side to the 1995 single “Mizugi to Beach to Boys,” was used on a TV program from April 1995 to March 1996.

The lyrics describe the frustration of losing contact with a lover after a trivial argument and not knowing what to do.

While anxious that their relationship might end as it is, the narrator’s high pride gets in the way, making it hard to be honest.

I’m definitely going to make it an amazing room.LINDBERG21rank/position

While portraying the excitement and loneliness of moving, this LINDBERG song stirs hope for a new life.

Included on the album “LINDBERG VII,” released in June 1994, it’s a beloved classic among fans.

Tatsuya Hirakawa’s delicate melody and Maki Watase’s relatable lyrics resonate with anyone standing at a new starting line.

It carefully captures the mingled feelings of anxiety and anticipation, while also conveying the strength to overcome them.

It’s a work that gives courage and energy for the first step into a changing new life—a perfect song for turning over a new leaf.
