A surprise appearance by the star at a fan’s wedding ♡ A happy surprise from the bride to the groom
The person himself/herself appears!

If, in the middle of a party or other event, a special person suddenly appears as a surprise guest, it would be quite a shock, wouldn’t it? For the recipient, it becomes a joyful and moving gift.

Having someone with a meaningful connection show up and deliver a message will likely become a memory to last a lifetime.

It’s an idea that brings happiness to both the person planning the surprise and the one receiving it.

Create a moment that will be remembered.

As in the video we’re sharing, inviting a well-known figure can be a bit of a high hurdle, but if it works out, it really elevates the excitement!

Replace the contents of the lipstick with glue58rank/position

A prank where you replace the contents of a lipstick with glue, apply it, and your mouth won’t open.
Replace the contents of the lipstick with glue

Lip balm is a must-have in the dry winter season, but what if the contents of that lip balm were actually a glue stick? This prank plays on the idea that if someone applies it to their lips, their lips might stick together and not come apart.

Start by making the prank item.

Remove all the contents of a lip balm, then press a glue stick into the lip balm tube, and it’s ready in no time.

Have your target apply it generously, then press their lips together and spread them apart… they’ll be in for a real surprise!

Let’s perform to a popular or well-known song! If you can adjust the venue lighting, it’s best to keep the room on the darker side to make the glow sticks’ light stand out during the performance.

The colorful glow will look even more beautiful! If you’re performing with around five people, it’s also a good idea to assign each person a color.

While you’ll need to set aside time to practice, this is a perfect surprise to wow the audience with choreography that matches the song perfectly.

2010 Graduation Ceremony: Farewell under a Flower Arch
An arch made by parents and teachers

Here’s a surprise idea I highly recommend for the exit at the preschool graduation party! Have the adults hold flowers and form a long floral arch.

Let the children walk through it.

It’s a simple idea—just holding flowers—but it’s incredibly moving and sure to delight kids who love going through tunnels.

Since fresh flowers can make cleanup difficult, artificial flowers are a better choice.

Lately, there are lots of lovely artificial flowers at 100-yen shops, so be sure to check them out!

A commemorative movie for graduates!61rank/position

Graduation Commemorative Video (For Students Graduating in Reiwa 6)
A commemorative movie for graduates!

It’s a fun video where a smartphone with a typed message from a teacher appears next to a nostalgic photo.

The phone screen is styled like a social media feed: each account name is a teacher’s name, the posts are messages to the students, and if you look closely, even the comments are full of heartfelt notes! The little touches are great too, like the moving hearts and the like count that keeps going up.

After that, graduation messages from various teachers pop up in speech bubbles! It’s a video that really conveys the teachers’ heartfelt hopes for the students as they set off on their new paths.

Paranormal Prank62rank/position

[Paranormal Prank] Tried to make my friend, who doesn't believe in ghosts at all, lose it with a ghost prank.
Paranormal Prank

This is a prank recommended for women whose boyfriend looks tough but is actually terrified of the supernatural! If you have a spare key or live together, pretend you’re going out by saying you’re going back to your parents’ place or staying over at a friend’s, then hide somewhere.

Use a remote to control appliances, drop objects with strings attached, and so on…

Finally, disguise yourself as a long-haired female ghost and appear in front of him.

Just imagining a female ghost showing up when he already feels that “something’s off” is enough to make your heart stop (lol).

Letter of Appreciation63rank/position

A heartfelt surprise: “The world’s best letter of appreciation” — moving! Tear-jerking / PR video from Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture
Letter of Appreciation

We’ve introduced a lot of surprise ideas, and although saying this might undermine everything, I honestly think the best surprise is a “letter of appreciation.” You can simply read it as is, but adding a little twist can boost the surprise factor even more.

For example, just as the organizer starts the closing speech and the event seems to be ending, someone bursts in with a “Wait a second!” and, like a short skit, segues into reading the letter; or they act out, “I picked up a letter, let me read it,” and it turns out to be a thank-you letter.

Try coming up with all kinds of creative staging!
