Elephant Kashimashi is captivating for their fiery, masculine songs.
Their track “Kono Koyoi no Tsuki no Yō ni” also conveys a hot-blooded, cool masculinity.
The encouraging lyrics make it a wonderful song that fills you with courage as you listen.
I definitely want to hear this one live.

Kyuso Nekokami is a band that has established its place with a unique sense of humor.
It’s no exaggeration to say they’re now leading the Japanese rock scene in popularity.
Their live shows are a lot of fun, so be sure to go see them!
SUNHoshino Gen
Gen Hoshino is active not only as a musician but also in many other fields, such as acting.
His songs are known for being very catchy and upbeat.
The song “SUN” is also a bright, refreshing track and one of his popular hits.
He’s also a member of the instrumental band SAKEROCK, so be sure to check them out as well.
ButterflyKimura Kaera
Kaela Kimura’s “Butterfly” became a wedding song staple after it was chosen for a Zexy commercial.
Its cute vibe and gentle vocals are truly charming.
While she sings tender songs like this one, Kaela Kimura also has plenty of fun, upbeat tracks you can really groove to, so be sure to explore her other music as well.

Shonan no Kaze is a reggae group that represents Japan.
Having brought reggae into living rooms across the country, they lead the Japanese reggae scene.
They also appear frequently at rock festivals and are indispensable at summer events.

Kenshi Yonezu, a singer-songwriter who was already a huge topic online even before his major debut in 2013.

Golden Bomber, aka Kinbaku, have gained popularity with their unique style as a visual-kei air band.
This is the song that triggered their big break—there are probably very few people who haven’t heard it.
The theme is a pathetic, clingy man, and the chorus dance is a classic.
