Now, let’s get started.

What songs are popular among elementary school students? Popular songs everyone knows and wants to sing! [2026] (21–30)

Happinessarashi

ARASHI – Happiness [Official Music Video]
Happinessarashi

This song is the theme for the drama Yamada Taro Monogatari, starring Arashi members Kazunari Ninomiya and Sho Sakurai.

It portrays Taro Yamada, who is extremely poor, yet lives cheerfully and energetically despite his poverty.

Although the drama itself is old, this song is one of Arashi’s popular tracks.

I imagine many elementary schoolers pick it at karaoke, don’t they?

This is Orangestar’s 14th song, with illustration by M.B.

Orangestar introduced the track on Twitter as “my own way of saying goodbye.” Since it has ranked in the karaoke charts for teens, there are probably people who always sing it, right? The chorus really swells and feels great to sing.

A band arrangement version of “Kimi no Yozora Shoukaihan” was also released as a first-anniversary commemoration.

paprikaYonezu Kenshi

A work in which singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu self-covers a song he originally provided to the children’s music unit Foorin.

Unlike the Foorin version—which became a huge social phenomenon among kids, especially elementary schoolers—this track showcases Yonezu’s signature style, featuring a poignant melody and chord progression.

The blend of a nostalgically tinged melody that uses the traditional Japanese yonanuki scale and contemporary production conveys the ongoing evolution of J-pop.

New EraAdo

[Ado] New Genesis (Uta from ONE PIECE FILM RED)
New EraAdo

This is a digital-only single released in June 2022 by Ado, who made a sensational debut with “Usseewa.” Ado freely changes her singing style and vocal tone from song to song—so much so that you wonder how many different timbres she has inside her.

In “New Genesis,” she delivers a voice filled with hope for the future—powerful, straightforward, and crystal clear.

The song serves as the theme for the film ONE PIECE FILM RED.

Its positive, accessible message—“Believe in a bright future and change the present!”—may be one reason it resonates so strongly with younger listeners.

LokiMikito P

The snappy rhythm and call-and-response-style melody are super addictive! This is the vocaloid classic “Roki” by the popular Vocaloid producer Mikito-P, released in 2018.

It’s an upbeat, high-energy rock tune that makes you want to start dancing as soon as you hear it.

It’s also hugely popular for karaoke.

The rolled tongue right before the chorus is really cool, too! And the illustration is wonderful!

HabitSEKAI NO OWARI

This song was written as the theme for the film “Holick xxxHOLiC,” starring Ryunosuke Kamiki and Kou Shibasaki.

The way the lyrics come at you one after another until you can barely catch your breath, along with the deliberately awkward, hard-to-sing melodies sprinkled throughout, feels quintessentially SEKAI NO OWARI.

The members’ bizarre dance performed at a school also became a hot topic, inspiring many creators to imitate the singing and choreography.

It’s even popular as a dance track for elementary school sports festivals.

Before you know it, you’ll be hooked on the lyrics that make you pause for a moment and wonder what they mean—an addictive song indeed.

It was included on the 2018 album “Everybody!!” and was featured across various media, including au commercials.

The highly narrative music video is a must-see.

With straightforward lyrics and a powerful vocal performance, it’s an uplifting song that makes you feel positive.

It’s also often used at school sports festivals, so it’s popular among elementary school students.
