Stopwatch Game

Stopwatch Game

If you’re confident in your sense of rhythm, here’s a challenge for you! It’s a simple game: try to hit exactly 10 seconds on a stopwatch without looking at anything.

While the rules are straightforward, very few people can land it perfectly.

If you manage to stop it at exactly 10 seconds, you might be a genius!

Paper Cup Relay

Paper Cup Relay

It’s easy to try if you’ve got some empty paper cups and a table, but surprisingly tricky: the “paper cup relay.” Prepare three paper cups.

Place two side by side and stack the third one on top.

At the start signal, slide the two bottom cups outward to let the top cup drop neatly between them.

If it lands upright, pass the turn to the next person! If it falls over, you can’t switch until you get it right.

It looks simple, but because paper cups are so light, they tip over easily.

Participants get desperate, spectators feel the suspense—this gap just might be what makes it so exciting.

Buddy-finding game

Buddy-finding game

The “Find Your Match” game involves sticking a randomly colored sticker on each person’s forehead and sorting yourselves into groups of the same color without speaking.

The key points are that you can’t talk and you can’t see your own color.

I think it becomes a fun game that brings out everyone’s individuality!

Juice tasting

[Activities you can do with kids] Parent-child showdown using your dominant ○○!
Juice tasting

“Blind Juice Tasting” is a game where you guess the brand or flavor of juices that are presented out of sight.

You can wear a blindfold or place the juices in a box so you can’t see them, then sharpen your sense of taste and take on the challenge.

You might be able to tell orange from apple, but identifying the specific brand among oranges is a Herculean task! You’ll probably end up relying almost entirely on intuition—but that in itself makes it fun to watch.

It’s not limited to drinks; you can play with snacks, sweets, and all sorts of foods and beverages, so give it a try.

Number guessing game

[Number Guessing Game] Fun for all ages! You can play it on the spot without any equipment, so be sure to give it a try! \(^o^)/
Number guessing game

A simple “number guessing game” you can play anywhere you have space to stand and sit! The rules are simple: call out a number, and if the number of people standing matches it, you clear the round.

It’s perfect as a filler at appreciation parties where there are back-to-back performances.

If you have a large group, it might be fun to make it a quiz for non-participants to guess who will be the last one standing, so they don’t lose interest.

Add your own rules to suit the group size and vibe, and have fun!

Games of all ages and places

We played the ‘around-the-world’ word game together and ended up laughing way too hard lol
Games of all ages and places

The “Kokon Tozai” game, where players answer in rhythm with words that fit a theme, is a classic for parties and recreational events! It requires almost no preparation and is easy to play—that’s a big plus.

You can come up with endless themes, but if you’re adding it to a thank-you party program, themes related to school or teachers are recommended! As you play, it’s sure to bring back memories.

Offering a prize to the last person standing and a penalty game for the first person out will make it even more exciting.

stereo game

Like a stereo in music, this is the “Stereo Game,” where the left and right sides say different things at the same time, and the person in the middle has to guess the words.

It’s really difficult when the words are similar! It’s a fun activity where you listen carefully, focus, and enjoy clearly telling them apart.

Drawing relay

SixTONES – Drawing Telephone Game: Who’s the Master Artist!?
Drawing relay

A drawing relay where each person draws the assigned prompt and passes it to the next.

Since some TV shows also do drawing relays, many elementary school students may already know the game.

At large events like thank-you parties, it could be fun to make it a team competition.

It’s also recommended to form mixed teams of children, teachers, and parents.

The best part of this game is checking the answers for each drawing, isn’t it? Choosing prompts related to graduation or memories from school life would likely make it even more exciting.

Liar Memory Introduction Game

The Post–Summer Vacation Hype Activity: “The Liar’s Memory Sharing Game”
Liar Memory Introduction Game

Reminiscing together is one of the best parts of a thank-you party, isn’t it? Here’s a game I’d love for you to try: the “Liar Memory Intro” game.

First, give everyone a sheet of paper and have them write down four memories.

Of those, one should be a fake memory, and the goal is for the others to guess which one it is.

It can be fun to go for laughs by including an obviously fake memory.

For those who want even more laughs, there’s also the “Only One Truth” version, where three of the four memories are fake and only one is true.

Either way, it’s sure to get the conversation flowing with lots of memorable stories.

Hula hoop relay

The “Hula Hoop Relay” is where you hold hands with the person next to you and pass a hula hoop along by stepping through it as if it were a baton! It’s a perfect game when you’ve got plenty of space.

It may look easy, but getting through a hula hoop while your hands are tied up is trickier than you’d think! What’s more, while small children can slip right through, adults or people who aren’t very flexible may find their feet or neck get caught, making it surprisingly hard to pass through.

Let’s have the guests at the thank-you party experience this unique challenge for themselves!
