SIAM SHADE, who enjoyed great popularity in the visual scene from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s, created numerous songs that made full use of their raw, emotionally charged vocals—music that resonated not only with the youth of the time but still carries enough intensity to connect today.
They also have catchy tracks that were used as anime theme songs, so they’re recommended even for those who’ve never listened to visual kei.

SIAM SHADE’s Famous and Popular Songs (1–10)
Beyond the ache of sadnessSIAM SHADE

In this song, the guitar really stands out.
The guitar solo is also full of emotion, and the phrasing is excellent.
The tempo is on the faster side, and listening to it makes you want to take off running.
It’s sure to make your heart skip a beat.
1999SIAM SHADE

The 12th single, released less than two weeks after the previous work, “BLACK.” The track features a production where “BLACK” plays at the very beginning, and throughout the song it employs an innovative vocal arrangement in which the katakana lyrics in the B-melody are sung alternately, one character at a time.
PASSIONSIAM SHADE

It starts off with a slightly hard rock sound, but once the vocals come in, the beautiful melody and singing make it a very refreshing track.
Although the sound is heavy, it doesn’t feel weighty and goes down smoothly—that’s one of SIAM SHADE’s hallmarks, I think.
Shangri-laSIAM SHADE

It’s the fourth track on SIAM SHADE VI, released on July 26, 2000.
The original composition is by Natin, with lyrics by Hideki.
This was their final original album.
The guitar lines are beautifully put together, and the two guitars intertwine exquisitely—it’s fantastic.
LifeSIAM SHADE

Released in 2001, this is their 14th single.
Among all their singles, it has the longest running time, and its theme of life and death gives it a distinctly sorrowful atmosphere.
The message within its sadness resonates more deeply with each listen, making it one of SHAM SHADE’s finest ballads.
Don’t Tell LiesSIAM SHADE

It’s the ninth track on the album SIAM SHADE III, released on October 2, 1996.
It’s their second major-label album.
Another version of this song was covered by someone named Sebastian Bach in 2010.
From the intro it has a metal vibe and is really cool.
It’s a riff that doesn’t feel like it’s from more than 20 years ago.
RAINSIAM SHADE

It’s a very melodic and refreshing song.
The title is “Rain,” but it feels like a track you could enjoy even on a sunny day.
It gives the impression that you’ll want to start running.
It’ll surely capture your heart—prepare for some serious butterflies.
