Rating Quiz

Are you watching the popular show “Geinōjin Kakuzuke Check,” hosted by Downtown’s Mr.
Hamada? GACKT’s discerning eye and remarkably accurate palate amaze us every single time, don’t they? Let’s liven up our event by imitating that hit show with a “Ranking Quiz”! For example, you could compare a 500-yen chocolate with a Tirol chocolate, or see if people can tell a real diamond from a toy one—there are plenty of everyday items you can use for questions.
The fact that the answers are a fifty-fifty choice makes it all the more exciting!
Who am I? quiz

It’s a simple quiz where you gradually reveal hints and information so players can figure out the answer.
The classic flow starts with broad hints and moves toward more revealing ones, letting players enjoy the feeling of the answer becoming clearer step by step.
It’s fun to present a fixed sequence of hints, but we also recommend letting players freely ask yes-or-no questions instead.
Try incorporating history and fun facts related to the answer into the hints as well, so players can deepen their understanding of each item or person.
Mosaic Quiz

There’s a classic quiz where you look at a pixelated image and try to guess what it is, right? It’s surprisingly tricky! How about everyone enjoying a “mosaic quiz” together? A pile of sugar might look like Mt.
Fuji, and Chibi Maruko-chan might look like a seaweed-covered rice cracker—what’s great is that you can get excited and have fun regardless of your knowledge.
It can also be a laugh to pixelate photos of your seniors or your boss.
There are lots of free apps that apply mosaic/pixelation, so try searching for one.
Family In-Jokes Quiz

It’s a quiz where you ask and guess personal questions about the people gathered there.
For example, you might ask, “What’s [so-and-so]’s favorite food?” If you know the answer, great; if not, even a random guess can be fun since it’s an inside joke among friends.
A quiz that adults can’t solve

You often see quiz questions that are “easy for kids but hard for adults,” right? Kids tend to be more flexible in their thinking, look at things from different angles, and don’t always tackle problems head-on—that’s probably the key.
How about gathering a bunch of those quizzes that are said to be hard for adults and trying them out? I bet people will get fired up like, “I’m going to solve this!” and it’ll be a lot of fun (lol).
It would probably be even more exciting at gatherings where kids are around!
Color guessing quiz

Convenience store signs, road signs, beloved national characters… Even if you see them all the time and think you remember them, once they’re in black and white you’ll probably find yourself asking, “Wait, what color was this part again?” This quiz turns those familiar, long-seen things into monochrome and asks you to guess their colors.
It sounds easy, but once you start, it gets surprisingly tricky and you begin to second-guess yourself.
It’s the kind of quiz that’s sure to get everyone excited, with lots of back-and-forth conversation! Since it tests your memory, it also works as brain training.
Arunashi quiz

It’s a game where you list many things that “have it” and many that “don’t,” and players infer the common trait among the ones that “have it.” It’s a quiz that requires flexible thinking and reasoning, so anyone can enjoy it regardless of age or knowledge.
The moment you figure out the answer is exhilarating and really gets everyone excited.
A quiz that 99% of people get tricked by

These are quizzes that exploit people’s assumptions to steer them into making mistakes, starting from problems that look easy.
They test your ability to pay attention to fine details—such as wording in the question—as well as your imagination to clearly picture the situation described.
Even when a problem looks like a simple calculation, there may be hidden traps in the details, like conditions stated at the beginning of the prompt.
The more elements there are to think about, the harder it is to notice the trick, so striking the right balance in the problem itself is also key to pulling off the misdirection.
Silhouette Quiz

It’s a quiz where someone poses behind a white cloth with light shining from behind, and you have to guess what they’re doing from the silhouette.
The fun part is that, with only the silhouette, it can look like many different things.
It would probably be a hit if done on stage.
Riddle Quiz

This is a quiz themed around “nazokake,” a type of wordplay that uses double meanings and metaphorical associations.
Starting from the classic setup, “A to kakete B to toku” (“Compare A to B and explain why”), you’ll carefully think through what the riddle is expressing, including the phrasing.
Consider what the given words have in common and enjoy the satisfying ‘aha!’ moment when you figure it out.
If you get stuck, it’s also recommended to provide a hint that shows the structure of the answer so players can fill in the blanks.
