[Game Music] Splatoon BGM and Popular Songs Compilation

In this article, I’ll be introducing the background music from the massively popular Splatoon game series, which first launched as a title for the Nintendo Wii U!

Splatoon puts a lot of emphasis on its soundtrack.

I’m sure many of you have found yourselves growing to love the tracks as you play.

The live events where in-game characters perform have also been a huge hit every time they’re held.

I’ve put together a list of some of the most popular songs in the series, so be sure to check them out!

[Game Music] Splatoon BGM and Popular Songs Summary (1–10)

Seafoam Shanty ~Rough-Sea Rodeo~From Bottom

As the title suggests, it’s a high-energy track where a fierce, wave-crashing guitar rock sound is layered with a string riff.

Among the Splatoon 2 BGMs, it’s particularly fast-paced and spirited! It’s the kind of song you can keep listening to without ever getting bored.

This is a song performed by Off the Hook, the idol duo appearing in Splatoon 2.

The laid-back electronic beats are really pleasant to the ear! It plays in the main square during in-game “Splatfest” events, where you can take your time and listen to it.

An impressively stylish soundscape that feels like it splices elements from various tracks and recombines them.

This is the BGM for Splatoon’s single-player Adventure “Hero Mode.” Riding on a light rhythm, lively yet mysterious tones come at you from all directions.

The sound is so unique it sticks in your ears and mind! It’s a work by the in-game music unit OCTOTOOL.

While the protagonist’s side are Inklings, this music is crafted by their enemies, the Octarians—once you get hooked, you’ll never climb out of that trap!

From the very start, it’s an energetic, exhilarating, and catchy number! It’s a track by the band ABXY—made up of Paruko, Noisy, Ryan, and Shikaku—featured in the original Splatoon.

It was added in the August 2015 update and quickly became a fan favorite! The bursting rock sound makes you want to jump around, and it’s impossible not to dance in your heart.

Your hands gripping the controller will be getting sweaty, too.

The bleepy, chiptune-like lead lines are super satisfying to hear! If you’re looking for game music that will hype you up, definitely give this a listen!
