Spring Festivals in Koshinetsu & Hokuriku [2026]: Let's head to the music celebration!

Kofu Jazz Street is an event launched with the goal of community development. It’s a jazz event where you can freely stroll between live performances held on the same day at four long-established, historic venues: Sakuraza, Cotton Club, Saryo Fugetsudo, and ALONE. Another feature is that it’s held twice a year, in spring and autumn.

This is an event hosted by AAB Akita Asahi Broadcasting, a television station in Akita Prefecture. To promote regional revitalization and share the appeal of Akita’s traditional festivals and customs, performances will be given by artists connected to Akita and by artists who support the initiative. There will even be a free online stream, so those who can’t attend in person can still make it in time! The stream will also feature the Akita Kanto Festival and the Nishimonai Bon Odori, so if you haven’t seen them before, be sure to check it out.

This festival has a slightly unusual style: an outdoor event on a special stage beside the market near the port. It’s held with the hope of sharing the beauty of Toyama Bay, its delicious fish and food culture, and bringing music to even more people. The concept is “a festival created by everyone, overflowing with smiles.”
