Simple magic tricks using stationery. Recommended tricks for parties and performances (21–30)
A blank sheet inside an envelope turns into a playing card.

It’s a magic trick where you hold a small envelope containing a blank card, and in an instant it transforms into a patterned playing card.
It’s so fast that it’s over before you can blink, haha.
The materials needed for the gimmick—paper for the envelope, stretchy invisible thread, glue, and cards—are all things you can buy at a 100-yen shop.
While it takes a little time to make the gimmicked envelope, once it’s done, you don’t need any practice, and anyone can easily perform this amazing magic!
A pen piercing through a banknote?

It’s a magic trick where you fold a bill into thirds in front of everyone, push a pen through the crease, and then when you pull the pen out and unfold it, there should be a hole—but the bill has no hole at all.
The secret is very simple: before you start, pre-crease the fold that will be on your side when the bill is folded into thirds so it can be folded into a triangle, and that’s all you need!
Eraser disappearance magic

This is a magic trick where, after signaling with a pencil to an eraser placed on your hand, the eraser seems to vanish from your hand in an instant.
The action of tapping and counting with the pencil is crucial; on the final signal, you quickly move the eraser.
Since you’re moving the eraser while being watched, be mindful of making the movement fast enough not to be noticed, as well as of your hand angle.
Rather than striking with just the pencil tip, it’s better to bump with your whole hand holding the pencil—this shortens the distance you need to move the eraser and is recommended.
An eraser magic trick that disappears instantly when you tap it

It’s a fun magic trick where, when you tap an eraser with a pen, the eraser seems to disappear, and then when you open the pen cap, the eraser pops out.
It’s easier to do—and makes a bigger impact—with a thicker pen! It’s a simple, amusing trick that anyone can perform.
Erasers are gushing out.

Anyone can pull off the magic trick where an eraser seems to appear out of nowhere, as long as you pay attention to the eraser’s shape and how you present it! Prepare an eraser narrow enough to hide behind a single finger, and tuck it on the palm side while keeping your finger slightly bent.
After that, clench your hand into a fist and then gradually open it; it will look as if the eraser is emerging by itself! The key is to hold the eraser in place with finger pressure, but since the premise is that you can hide it with a finger, people with larger hands might find it easier to succeed.
A rubber band instantly penetrates through a finger

This is a quick, impactful magic trick you can perform on the spot! To clearly show the rubber band penetrating, we recommend using a brightly colored band like green.
While casually demonstrating that it’s “just an ordinary rubber band,” use that flow to anchor the band on your fingertip and set up the secret.
It’s a simple trick, but if you tense your fingers people will notice, so be sure to practice plenty.
The eraser cover disappears.

This is a magic trick using a common eraser cap.
Slip the cap onto the fingertips of your right hand, then close your left hand around it—and the cap instantly teleports.
It appears in your right palm! The secret is simply hiding it in your palm beforehand, so the difficulty is low and it’s recommended for beginners.
However, if your finger or hand movements look unnatural, the trick will be exposed right away, making it perfect for practicing smooth fingerwork.
