OmoidamaKanjani∞

A baseball that high school players pick up, soaking up so much sweat and so many tears.
This is a Kanjani Eight number that portrays the feelings packed into each and every one of those baseballs.
It was selected as the 2014 ABC Summer High School Baseball support song and the theme for “Netto Koshien.” During the tournament period, it was also used as the train approach melody at Hanshin Railway’s Koshien Station.
In the best way, it’s intense and sweaty—you can feel the players’ heat pulsing through it, and it makes your chest tighten.
What kind of dreams will these balls, filled with so many emotions—these “Omoidama”—show us?
HEROESGLAY

It’s a rousing anthem dedicated to the heroes of tomorrow, infused with the passionate spirit of the artist’s own youth as a baseball kid.
With straightforward lyrics, it powerfully sings about the importance of never giving up and holding on to hope for the future, while GLAY’s signature exhilarating, energetic rock sound stirs the listener’s heart.
Featured on a single released in May 2015, the song served as the theme for the 2015 Kanagawa Prefecture tournament of the National High School Baseball Championship, vividly coloring the players’ intense drama.
For everyone single-mindedly striving toward their dreams, it offers the courage to rise up at the very moment they face a towering wall.

HalationHata Motohiro

Singer-songwriter Motohiro Hata.
The song he wrote as the theme for the 2009 National High School Baseball Championship is “Halation.” It’s a piece that sings of summer’s dazzling brightness and the swift passage of time, and its lyrics grip the hearts of many.
It’s also a great track for sparking memories of youth.
Another lovely touch is the subtle baseball-related phrases sprinkled throughout the lyrics—try listening while you look for them.
If you laugh at the skywacci

It’s a passionate message song that says you might cry when you lose, but those tears will become hope for the future.
It’s a track by the pop-rock band wacci, released as a digital single in 2018.
It became widely loved as a baseball cheer song after it caught on for pairing high school baseball game scenes with the track on social media.
Failure and setbacks are painful, but this emotionally stirring ballad makes you want to try again and stand back up.
Cheering songMAGIC OF LiFE

A track by the band MAGIC OF LiFE, which made its major debut in 2010.
It was chosen in 2019 as the high school baseball cheering song by Tochigi TV in Tochigi Prefecture, the hometown of the band’s vocalist Nobuyuki Takatsuto, the only original member.
As the title “Cheering Song” suggests, it’s filled with support for the hardworking ballplayers.
It speaks to the unseen effort and the days when you felt like giving up, and to the stage of high school baseball that you’ve reached by overcoming all those days.
No matter what happens on that stage, the days you’ve put in will lift you up—so keep going! That’s the message captured in this song.
rainbowTakahashi Yuu

A song by Yu Takahashi that was chosen as ABC’s 2017 summer high school baseball cheering song and as the opening theme for Nettou Koshien.
In creating “Niji” (Rainbow), Takahashi visited ballparks across the country and actually watched high school baseball games.
The feelings he gathered there are packed into this track, whose lyrics make you feel as if you’re witnessing the fierce battles of the high school players right before your eyes.
The words vividly convey the players’ joy, tears, and hopes for the future—something only Takahashi, who saw the games firsthand, could express.
If listening to the song brings to mind the players’ hard work, there’s no way you won’t be moved!
Sounds goodM!LK

This is a song by M!LK chosen as the entrance march for the 98th Selected High School Baseball Tournament (Senbatsu) in spring 2026.
Released early in February 2025 and serving as the lead track of the album “M!Ⅹ,” the piece captivates with a message that wholly affirms being yourself.
The sentiment embedded in the title—“It’s okay just the way you are”—encourages those who face forward despite their anxieties.
It naturally resonates with the image of the ballplayers striving together as one team toward Koshien.
The song reached a wide audience, winning the Excellence Award at the 67th Japan Record Awards and being performed on the Red and White Song Contest (Kōhaku Uta Gassen).
