A song by Funky Monkey Babys that gave courage to everyone striving toward their dreams, including high school baseball players.
It was selected as the support song for Asahi Broadcasting’s “Summer High School Baseball” and as the theme song for ABC Television’s “Netto Koshien.” The CD jacket features Masahiro Tanaka—who actually stood on the Koshien stage as a pitcher for Tomakomai High School—wearing the Rakuten Eagles uniform he belonged to at the time.
The lyrics portray how one more step of effort can lead to one more dream or hope, calling to mind the players who take that step and work to make their dreams come true.
That step can be very hard, and many players shed tears.
