Since discovering music during my school days, I’ve mainly listened to Japanese and Korean pop. T-BOLAN, a rock band that was hugely successful in the 1990s.

This is T-BOLAN’s fourth single, “Let’s Start from Goodbye.” The lyrics are by Arashi Moritomo, and the composition is by Tetsuro Oda, who was also a hitmaker in the ’90s.

The striking title “Let’s Start from Goodbye,” along with vocalist Arashi Moritomo’s slightly mysterious look, felt incredibly fresh to me when I was an elementary school student in 1992.

It’s a song I love so much that just hearing the title makes me want to sing it right away.

Rex is a hard-hitting rock band, but this is a rock number that feels true to the origin of the band’s name and is different from what they’ve done before.
